Man it was amazing skill animations everywhere large our clan vs their duels for spots.  People zooming across the screen heated battles.

I'm just kidding this isn't about that unobtainable MMO PVP dream.  I'm here to tell you the truth and inform you of the actual PVP!!

A small group PK'd my low level alt.  I saw them flag up so I used a cheese potion.  This cheese potion removes all exp loss essentially the same as a BDO tear just used in advance.  There really wasn't much of a fight just a few Pew Pew Pew PVPers killing a low level alt.  Sound a little boring, sad, pathetic.  Well I'm here to tell you REAL STORIES.

I came back on a main and accidently PK'd 2 of them.  Turns out just like every other developer their PVP systems are pure trash and not even designed to do the most basic essentialls.  Just like BDO having a level 49 player healing.  Or Ashes finally realizing they need to prevent splash damage from PKing.

I spend a fair amount of time grinding off the karma.  I found it's completely exploitable.  I can just use those magical cheese potions and never lose exp.  Here is where it gets fun and REAL.  Someone came on their main character and started PKing my main.  (I did this 1,000's of times in BDO shhh don't tell ;).

You see what PVP is about is abusing the systems and out smarting your opponents.  It's about winning.  Not competition.  I'm not here to sell some Hero story about how a guild leader came to save the day!.

I just keep using the cheese potions and this person had no idea what was actually happening.  He kept pking over and over and over.  I would pop a cheese potion and teleport right back until he was literally pking on the teleport location.  These cheese potions are worth almost nothing.  This was a battle of WITS just to see how much karma I could rack up on this person.

This person LOVED IT.  They spammed messages all night.  They must have thought I was losing exp.  These dumb tactis have worked for over 20 years straight.  You can do the same thing in BDO.  You couldn't go below 0% exp.  All you had to do was tell PKers you lost crystals and act upset and the majority of them fell for it.

Don't let people deceive you into thinking PVP is some exiting battle and a dangerous environment.  Just know this is the garbage it really is.

The daily reality in BDO was some idoitic match up with a broken class that should win the fight 99-1 if not 100-0.  They tried to abuse the systems and mob feed.  Not knowing they where actually playing a smart vetran PVPer that was thrasing them with intelligence.  A game of annoying each other until finally I pushed them out of a grind spot they tried to steal.

I can't tell you the amount of times someone came up and claimed it was their rotation because they where grinding there already.  Just blatantly lying about it when I was grinding there for hours.  They didn't even care about how obnoxiously blatant that lie was let alone that it didn't matter.  Thats the REAL SITUATIONS.

I spent 10,000's of PVP encounters in BDO.  Nearly every single one was the same.  Who could annoy each other and waste enough time to make the other side leave.

Just thought everyone should know the truth.

Anyone looking for competition won't find it in OWPVP.  There are sports games, fighting games and moba's for that.  OWPVP has always been about degenerate low level keyboard warriors just wasting time.

Final Note: I used to change to a level 1 alt class in Lineage 2 and equip it like an end game player.  Every single night someone would PK that level 1 character AFK out in the game world.  THAT IS TRUE OWPVP.  Don't GIT GUD, GIT SMART ;)

The next time one of these posters tries to tell you they need to "protect their grind spot" you can tell them NO M3 informed on what's really being going on.  Not BUYING IT.

Lastly don't blame me for any of it.  I DID NOT create any of those systems. I just learned how to SURVIVE in them :)

There's no xp loss on pk.

Mob feeding is already in the past.

This story has many questions and a lack of context. Sounds like a personal NA drama.

These activites are consistent with all MMO PVP.  Regardless of the rule set or the game.

The portayal of OWPVP is very different than the reality.  BDO is going to be released in China which has taken a stance that OWPVP is not acceptable in their entire country.

THIS is part of the reason why.  Because that is what actually happens and why they straight out banned it.  It's not good for the society.  It brings out the worst behaviors and has in many occassions lead to real life conflicts.

This is what you should hear all the time.  Instead of the fake portrayal.

I dealt with this garbage every single day for years in BDO.  People saying DFS and then trying to mob feed knowing the class I stuck with was absolute trash at 1v1 combat.  So why not just change?  If you where paying attention you would know I didn't have to.  I trashed everyone that tried to steal my rotations.  However, how that was done and the reality of the situation is far more annoying and problematic than people like to reveal.

They want to paint a false narrative that it's all FUN!  It's exciting!  No one gets harmed!! It's all just part of the game!!

The reality is quite different.  It pushes away players and isn't a welcomed behavior.

THAT is part of the reason why PA removed so much of it from the game.

You failed. Big time.

A consistent pattern I notice is an inability to see different people enjoy different things.

Stuff like mobfeeding is gone anyway and you can avoid fights way easier than before if you dislike them.

Just do what you enjoy and stop caring what you perceive others are thinking.

The issue was not about perception or feelings.  Mob feeding which was not only disruptive, but detrimental to the point of making the game unplayable for most players.  Which is hypocritical because so many people are against actions which force people out of the game or they deem as harassment.

It took PA literally removing mob feeding from that game to stop it.  A small portion of the player base was going to abuse it forever.

PVP servers are fine which people actually subscribe to that type of game play.  Trying to force it upon every is destructive to the game period.  PVP modes are fine.  Sieges/Nodes/RBF/Arsha/Battle fields/Controlled Event areas.

It's important for future game and other products PA may release.  It's very possible that BDO isn't the only MMO PA tries to create.  I mean beyond Crimson which is also not really an MMO.

To any devs reading this: Please disregard this feedback. It is an inaccurate representation of what your dwindling player base wants and in fact represents the complete opposite of how most of the players who've left in the last few months feel.
