Much more important question.
Does "Now processing" mean stuck or just that is taking much more time than normal to connect ?

You do realize that what's happening right now is like a launch right? This isn't your average Thursday afternoon crowd traffic trying to log in right now. This is a huge number of people wanting to login for the first time on a product...like a product launch.
And speaking as a developer, I know firsthand how difficult it is to plan to high volume events. That's why shooter games like Battlefield and CoD always have a free weekend during beta where everybody in the world can login. So that all those bugs that only happen with high traffic appear.
