These estimates assume the same trash level game experience.  In a correctly designed game with proper progression and no P2W nonsense there would be an exponentially higher player base.  Thus the cost per month would be relatively low if they would ever do things right.

Just cause you could not buy crons for IRL cash, PA would be still lazzy, and wouldn't add any more content into the game, hence it would be just as fun as currently is.

The thing is that while true bdo is a P2W game, it's not that bad, since it's a single player game.

Sure if it would have competitive PvP as endgame, or actuall PvE content, then yeah people would be locked out unless they start whaling, so the P2W factor would hit hard, but currently the lack of meaningfull content and the lack of ballance is much bigger factor, why people avoid bdo.

To some extent yes, but as a means for surival Pearl Abyss would need to provide a better product.  Also all the time and resources spent on manipulating the game and coming up with P2W schemes would instead be used on creating a better game.

Things like the cancerous enchanting system wouldn't need to exist, no locking of skills, no absurd boosts, no directly buying garbage, no limiting storage and weight.  No trash mechanics to get a horse.

P2W destroys the entire foundation of the game and every aspect of it.

They could focus on improving classes more instead of all the work into yet ANOTHER class just for revenue.

Probably around 200-300$ /month.

If this game would be sub based, you can expect 80% of the players instantly quit, and that's probably an under statment.

They could leave the game as is but offer a sub package that would include a combination of VP, Book of Old Moon and Blessing of Kam at a substantial discount. The catch would be to have it be a minimum 6 month up front sub to keep players from just subbing a single month to take advantage of the price vs buying them separately with pearls.

Get beyond 52 before you make stupid claims like this.  My question is, have you not played the game since 2016 and that is why you are not over 52, or have you only played for 6 hours and that is why you are not over 52.  Or wait, is this just another Rhetteo account spamming more BS?  My money is on the last one.

Because this dumb ass forum insists of using my NA account instead of EU which I actually play and I cannot select my EU characters as "main". Now did you actually have a counter argument or are you just a regular forum troll who comes to find something completely unrelated to pick on instead of contributing to the conversation?

Oh look here you breaking the TOS again btw. Remember you asked me to point out when you break the TOS, well here you are breaking them again. LOL so ya you want PA to enforce their TOS so much why not help them do their job by deleting all your post and removing your self from the forums sense you can't seem to stop breaking TOS your self.

I'd subscribe just to be part of a PvE server and I feel like a lot of people would join just for that same luxury. With that in mind, if they focused heavily on improving the game's PvE content and did something like this, there would be a lot more players taking part of the game. This isn't a PvP vs PvE debate but it generally is why people don't want to join BDO and BDO has a very low population as it stands. Well, that and the well known aggressively toxic community that comes with it. Kakao is a big part to blame for this though as they did no part in trying to lead the community.

Actually if I had to say a lot of people don't touch this game with a 20 foot pole because it excessily grindy, unrewarding to play, and locks you out of content (even PVP) cause of a poorly designed progression system. Than add the fact that PA monitzation tactics are the greedest I've ever seen in the 20+ years I've been playing MMORPGs, ya that a big factor too. So no I don't think people are avoiding this game cause it has OW non consensual PVP, there avoiding it cause the game has zero depth to it and was clearly designed with the full intent of maximum profits minimal effort.

I mean just look at this forums as to what I mean these forums as an example of what I mean. They are the worst forums I've ever seen, but PA doesn't care cause the forums don't make them money so they didn't see a reason to make a proper well designed forum page, & they sure don't pay anyone to moderate it an enforce the forum rules they posted day one of these forums existance. Cause as you can see with how some users keep breaking the TOS 24/7, (cough Werbs, cough Simley) they clearly haven't been punished for it. Yup their still here derailing threads, spamming insults, practicing anti discussion tactics, trying to censor people's opinions with insult spamming or saying "link account to forum when?". An this is all because PA is too cheap and greedy to pay even one person to design a proper forum site, or moderate these forums and enforce the TOS.

As much as there's negativity in Vulpin's post, I have to agree with almost everything on it. BDO cash shop is definitely not designed for the average Joe. Nobody except whales will spend money on a box, then 45$ per month sub, then hundreds of dollars for convenience items, and finally hundreds more for cosmetic items. It's insane to even think the run-of-the-mill MMO player would spend that much on one game. But I guess PA never aimed the cash shop for the basic player. They aimed it for the whales. Simple as that.

And yes, these forums are the worst I've seen in like 20 years. No post tracking, no way to jump to the latest new post, no way to see when the last post was written, etc. etc. It's like the first coding example of a freshman in college. Extremely unprofessional.

But they literately do this with the discounted packages periodically?

BDO to PA though is just a cash cow and nothing more. It's a good game to play but it's not a great game. If you want an epic adventure RPG in an MMO setting then you can turn your eyes over to FFXIV or ESO. There are other great MMOs and it feels that outside the beauty of BDO, it's mainly the same as it was on its first year of release... Lots of wasted potential.

Edit: i'd subscribe at a modest $10-$14 monthly fee not a $200 fee. Just clarifying lol

If you read even the title of the topic, it was about keeping bdo's current profit rate, and with 10$/month it would be closed within a year, and no one was talking about improving anyhting either. If they would want to improve the game, they could do it currently.

But they don't care....

And they aready working on other games, so guess...

Yeah if they would improve the game it could be much better... but they don't want to. And honestly they even lack the required competence to do it as they showed it many times already.

I don't understand your negativity, the quality of the forum pretty much inline with the quality of the game itself.
