TLDR: Using the event item to enhance your Sovereign weapon or Kharazad accessories on average costs more than just buying a failstack and vendor crons.
So the issue with the new event enhancement stones is you still lose durability. And the Memory Fragments to repair your gear makes the event items more expensive than just regular enhancement.

Small correction, you only pay the repair cost on failed attempts, so the calcuation of total mem frag cost should be (average attempts - 1) * 20 * mem frag cost.
Other than that your calculations match my own.
Of course, if you use artisan's memory and consider that to be free, then the new enhancement material is cheaper.

Hmm your caculation does not seem to take into account the cost for the enhancement materials, unless I missed something? The event page clearly says "enhancement materials (such as Essence of Dawn) are not consumed" and each Essence of Dawn is worth 100m silver alone, so the actual difference between "normal" and "event" enhancement should be a bit less. It's still a scam, though, with success rates well under one percent and not filling up agris, it's much more likely you'll never succeed (e.g. 276.85 * 0.36% is NOT 100%) Probably best to just vendor the event item and forget about it.

Yeah you're right, I forgot about essences. Didn't think about it since I've already had full V Debos before Kharazad. Never had to deal with essences.
Initially I only did the calculations for the enhancement levels relevant to me and then made the spreadsheet with the calculations for the other enhancement levels cause some guy didn't really understand that the enhancement event item is a scam despite me explaining it to him.
