It's not my problem that you (and others) have problems with basic math and data analysis.

I can see that the game today and for its premiere on Steam has the same number of players. Which means that the number of players does not increase for years. In addition, it's clearly visible that after each increase there is an immediate decrease so almost noone from new players stay here. Also the greatest increases occur during the covid period.

It's your problem when the data you give proves you wrong. ;)

Basic maths and data analysis proves that bdo population is stable, and even increasing if we compare similar months.

But yeah, if you want to compare the first month after Steam launch, and this February during LA launch, feel free to do it.

On a side note, we can see that even during NW launch, and now with LA launch, BDO population is even slightly superior than last year on the same months... Numbers!

And that's Steam only! XD

Thanks for showing that BDO is doing well!

Someone needs to go outside more often and perhaps double check the multiplication table more often in that number too.

But thanks for showing us this screenie, proving us correct. Have a nice day. :)

You can't see the difference between bdo and others steam mmo?

And I'm not even talking about the statistics distorted by the afk system of bdo

People are actively discouraged to NOT use the steam version of BDO.  I don't think that is the case for any other game on Steam.

In 4 years, I been attacked while moving between towns exactly 3 times.  This claim that it happens all the time is a bold faced lie.  The first time it happened I was AFK horse training outside of town, I learned my lesson that first time, I now have a level 49 that Horse trains, barters, moves my trade crates, and AFK fishes.  The second time, I got distracted by RL half way between heidel and Velia, didn't realize I had not set the auto path, went did other RL things forgot I even had BDO running for 18 hours until after I went to sleep, and then got home from work, according to the Time stamp it happened after I had been standing still for around 11 hours.  The 3rd time, I was afk running a character on seasonal Arsha and had to go do something IRL at a moment's notice.   Moral of the story, don't be AFK on the roads for long periods of time.  I have however still been AFK for long periods of time doing just that many other times, in the same areas as before.

Weren't you the guy 2 weeks ago being farmed at Garmoth for deccing my guild? I recall you getting farmed at Sulfur to for the same toxic stuff you claim that doesn't happen in game ( You randomly attacking and deccing people). If you are not the same ****Jokers than my bad but you on here throwing rocks and hiding your hands.

This difference is already something that many MMORPGS would love to reach. Being stable after so much time is already a nice performance in this competitive market. And these are not some random Steam mmo you used as a comparison, so what's the point? What do you want to prove with this? That any company should strive for the biggest mainstream market when they can do money with a niche market? XD

And again :

1) only fools would stay afk durably on a game they don't want to play anymore.

2) these are steam numbers only.

So, back to what I said : BDO is doing well. Only some very personal interpretations and comparisons can make you say the contrary, just check the number, the results. How many devs would pray for at least the same success?  XD

This statistic is not complete at all. Which means the result of 2 games shown on this screenie here isn't even correct. As mentioned before BDO can be bought from the website of the game or from steam. And this is showing how many steam users are playing only.

Um actually ESO and FFXIV playerbase tend to stay far away from Steam for the most part. ESO had many times where servers was down for days at a time. And far as FFXIV, you get way more deals from using the standalone version of the game. Lost Ark is a steam exclusive.

I will also note a 4 hour vist to ESO, FFXIV, and BDO. Will actually show you how much more populated the other two actually are. Like that other guy said in those games you get kicked from the server for being afk for more than 10 to 15 minutes.

I'm not saying BDO is a bad game or of the sort. It's actually pretty interesting for the purpose I have. However trying to rate ultra-niche BDO's playercount. Even with 85% or more of it's playerbase AFKing most of the time. To mainstream fair effort based progression games like ESO and FFXIV. Is a poor choice. BDO is a Niche of a Niche genre. ESO and FFXIV are etremely well recieved mainstreams. of a niche genre.

I challenging anyone who dares to say BDO is as populated as ESO and FFXIV. To spend at least 10 hours in both games. You will see that both of those MMOs have extremely larger playerbase than BDO.

P.S.# Being a blind to the world BDO fanatic don't bring relevence to your text. It's actually discredits whatever you say. Try to be realistic for once. You'll fine people might not be so confrontational with you.

So I'm a fool, a and most players I see in BDO. See Drama Queen, I like the world of BDO, but the gameplay is terrible - it is grind and gamble, completely singleplayer. So why to play? Why I need better gear, when it does not matter, and nobody cares? I will never be able to grind 24/7. So I will never have the best gear. I do not want to pay in game I do not believe is good. And the PvP in BDO is completely pointless. It has not any consequences for the game. The combat is bad, and made for PvE. It is not skill-counterskill it is jump, throw aoe damage, kite. When they fight, most players do not even get close and even do not aim each other, they just spam keys to move and throw aoe. With all that kiting, the cooperation is impossible, and all the classes are selfsuficient. The idea for PvE servers is idiocy, because the PvP does not exist anyway, except on instanced arenas and instanced node wars, that do not affect the game. In the so called open world PvP you cannot win anything, and you cannot lose anything. If you come with your fallen god armor and black star weapon, I can simply ignore you. I can act like you do not exist. I can. And that above all makes BDO a singleplayer game.  Most of the players just stay AFK in the game to get the rewards for staying in the game. This is the reality.
