I am one of those people that can easily slap most (not all) players (648), and am in a PVP/T2-T3 Guild.

Let me tell you my thoughts about PVE vs. PVP vs. PVX.

1.  I dont care if a rotation is contested, even though I can slap the shit out of alot of people or easily feed to mobs and iframe away, I do not do this.  I chat to them, ask questions like "How much time left on your scroll?" and such.  I feel it is very immature and basically bad for the community to go around beating up people over grinding spots.  In fact, many in my guild hunt people who griefed guildies just to let them know its not cool.

2. When seasons servers was around, I enjoyed the hassle free environment.  The PVE server was cool to me.  Sure I could go to a contested spot and maybe not be able to farm as much trashloot per hour as a normal server, but the change of pace; the break from always having to think about PVP; was a fine tradeoff for me.  Somedays I just want to afk in the middle of a grind spot for a few minutes and not worry.. Also the fact I could trade in timeless for Advice of Valks made it a great place. A great reason to make a new character and buy a new costume.

3. PVE only servers DO work: The catch is that people will just have to accept they may not grind silver as fast as a traditional server.  I think most players would be fine with this trade off.  Lets look at the current situation, Turos.  If you go to regular Turos and hunt for flame its fine, but people are willing to take the risk of increase drop rate and farm it on Arsha knowing they may lose a crystal much easier to PVP.  The point is there is a Risk vs. Reward Tradeoff. This already exists in the game and is not / would not be a new concept. Gear Progression is fundamentally the same decision..  Save and buy or enchance to either gain quickly or lose alot.

Example of Expected Grinding Results with PVE PVX and PVP server.

PVE Only Server - On a good day Same as regular servers; on a crowded day less silvers with the tradeoff of ease of mind / no pvp.

Current Main Servers - On a good day its chill like the PVE one; on a crowded day draw your weapons with the tradeoff you may lose crystals

Arsha Servers - On a good day you go try to take advantage of the increase drop rate and get gains; on a bad day the tradeoff is that you got owned and lost lots of crystals, generally getting your butt kicked in PVP

So you see everything is a trade off. The only absolutly true thing in BDO is that Succ Wiz is broken, and the sea is just overbugged.

For this reason there is nothing wrong with PVE only servers.

PVP Players and PVE Players can never agree:

Well im both so yea there is no side I think is right or wrong.

I've got enough hours of grinding / lifeskilling / pvp to have over 200b silver worth of gear with lots of time invested. so I think I know what I am talking about when I say

IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT YOUR PLAYSTYLE IS, BDO NEEDS TO BE A GAME THAT IS WELCOMING TO ALL.

Period.

"but but seasons was a trainwreck, dev's cancel it" - yea and rarely do i see crowded servers these days.

"but but go back to wow ff14" - dipshit im already hella geared so that dont work with me; plus i still play ff14 while afk'ing bdo - shut it.

"but but PA designed this as a PVP game" No it says open world MMo with Large scale war

I'm both too, I'm pvpve and that's precisely why I'm against pure pve.

Look, you said it yourself, you're not against pvp but you still decided to go on season server because it was hassle free, a change of pace, a break, you were ready for this trade-off.

Basically, a player like you have still be tempted by pure pve, not by a deep conviction that pure pve is better, but because some things are occasionally more interesting. That's exactly a pvpve mindset, path of least resistance : you have a goal, if pure pve seems more interesting to you sometimes, depending on your mood, available time, moment of the day, you will use it.

And that's exactly one of the things that bothers me, because during this time, a player like you is effectively removed from the owpvp on regular channels. You're not weak nor against pvp, yet you've been tempted.

And I would prefer a solution that is PvPvE for everyone, but with rules that allow players to control owpvp by themselves... Exactly what your guildies are doing by hunting griefers. A protector system would allow players to be on the "good guys" side and I'm pretty sure that many players would love to participate like this. Using owpvp to control owpvp, with good rules, seems like a better way to act than isolating players on a specific version of the game.

But what about those who are too weak? Should they just be condemed to earn only 20 to 30Mil silver/hour? Should they have no place in BDO? So far you guys biggest and most realistic fears about PvE only servers. Is that BDO's PvP system is just not interesting enough to a majority of players. Therefor if PvE only servers get released. You guys rightfully so fear that y'all will be only a few players left on the PvEvP channels.

In which case that just sounds more of a issue on how the Dev implemented PvP and gearing for PvP in this game. Person A will be handed full PEN boss gear in under 150 hours of play by doing almost nothing. While Person B will have to put in around 3,000 hours of actual grinding just to be a %75 compacity on Person A. Person A with they realetively free full PEN can and will go on to be a PvP GOD against Person B on the PvEvP channels. Forcing Person B to go to a spot that makes them even less silver/hour turning that average 3,000 hours grind into a 5,000+ hour grind to get 75% of what the Devs just gave Person A in under 150 hours.

Here's a thought! How about we fix the broken PvP and Gearing system of this game. So more players would actually want to PvP on PvPvE rather than go to PvE only channels. How does that sound? Being time or IRL cash and RNG gated to PvP. Sounds like a huge demotivator for most players wanting to particapate in PvEvP confrontations.

@ FearlessMe

???

Because a "weak" player will magically find a better place on pure pve? And when he realizes that he won't find a spot, nor even be able to slightly disrupt a player on a rotation, what will he do? He will go on a low income spot, or ironically try to find a better spot on regular channels.

And exactly as I said, if pure pve bribes even pvpve players, then it will automatically impacts the owpvp of regular channels.

Blaming BDO's pvp because of that is also a fallacy as players would choose pure pve for their own profit, and not because they love pve or hate pvp.

Seeing how they threw Arsha without really thinking about it, I guess that throwing a pure pve channel would be made the same way and would delay the creation of real and better solutions.

But now, don't forget one thing : it is not that we have a unreasonable fear about pure pve. It's you who are having an unrealistic and naive vision of what pure pve would be, as if simply creating a pure pve setting and putting it in the game would have absolutely no consequences and require nothing more.

How about you apply a minimal thought process before typing for once. People so weak they earn 30m an hour get massive gear upgrades since said upgrades are cheap. Then they go to more profitable areas to earn more but their next upgrades cost more. Duh.

Additionally if you educated yourself on the state of the game instead of creeping the boards of a game you don't even play, you would know that any new players as of today can very quickly get for free enough gear to earn 100m/h at Miru.

And thos are just the 2 first fantasy premises, not going to demonstrated the nonsenese of the rest of your post since obviously educating you about BDO serves no purpose since your only interaction with that game is to spit on it constantly.

Unless you take into consideration these 565 GS are being pushed out of 250 AP spots by players who are 600GS+. I still see it consistently. I was being camped at Pollies yesterday by 3 players from a T2,T3 node War Guild. The one player's words was "Nice Spot, now leave!" I didn't leave, so he got 2 other players to join him to grief me no out of one spot at Polly's but the whole zone. Mind you these are players who are from a guild that requires 650GS minimal to join doing this to me in a freaking 180 AP zone.

Who are you to say I don't even play the game? Do you watch my data stream info? I know you don't because you lying about me not playing BDO.

Again are you that much of a sad being that someone voicing their opinions about something triggers you. Damn those words from that person most hold a lot of actual wieght. To affect you in such a way. Maybe just maybe it's not the person's words that bother you. But the instance that what that person is saying is true and you hate it.
