It would be cool to see your family characters roaming your residences if they logged off there.

This has been suggested a few times and would be awesome, much better than seeing maids and pets 

Here's a thought: while it would be nice to see them "at home", I wouldn't pull in alts stationed around the map for this.  What if alts presence (and positioning, etc.) "at home" could be separate, in addition to their presence out in the world?  But still only in one residence at a time.

Seems there's still details to work out on this sort of thing. Maybe if some of the specifics of how this could operate were discussed, it might get a little more traction?  Not like we should be designing for PA, nor like this will go anywhere anyway.

Besides mere aesthetics, could there be any actual functions performed like this?  Pros & cons?  What sort of controls are needed to work with this? etc.
