Okay ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. Here we're discussing:

KARMABOMBING

MOB FEEDING

As we all know or most of us, there are those types of a-holes that want to grief you in that way and make your gaming experience terrible. We don't like that! Yes! So... How do we exactly prevent this in the future. Lets try to suggest something and be constructive. Also... Just to add one or two things before I start.

Keep anything related to pve or pve servers out of here! Don't discuss it in this topic at all, don't dive deep in it! If you do that I'll consider you for trolls or potential flamers.

Okay. Lets get this show on the road.

About the Karmabombing - Somebody else may have mentioned it before or maybe not, but I am going type it here anyway. Make karma loss not gear dependant, but either level dependant and reduce karma loss by some sort of a % . That way, whenever a person "drops" his gear in the bags and commits suicide to the player, the PKer will not lose so much karma.

About the Mob Feeding - Grant both the pk-er and the victim some sort of a buff for a small amount of time like... 20 seconds, that de-aggroes the mobs and they won't attack them both. And it refreshes every time both the PKer and the victim hit themselves.

If anybody has anything better to offer... By all means. Share your thoughts.

The solution is simple, ignore players and never alt+c...

The only viable solutions provided so far are:

Prevent Mob Death for (x) seconds after PVP combat.

Increase the amount of Karma Obtained and remove the disparity.

Any metric of trying to measure the disparity between players can easily be abused.  In your example level means virtually nothing.  99.9% of your characters stats come from equipment and everyone is essentially equal at level 60+.

Realisticly the answer is shut up and go to Arsha.  Every single time I see a player trying to mob feed/pk it's because they are to lazy to find an open spot.

Wait, wait, wait, wait. I didn't understand this part. Care to explain more on it? I have something to add, but I want to make sure it's not what I think it is.

Mob feed should just be a punishable offense. It clearly not an intended feature sense if it was intended they would have never removed death penalties on death from other players 5 years ago. This like cart blocking in archeage it an exploited mechanic to grief others an make them quit playing there no other purpose beside that.

An any that says it hard to know if it was accidental mob death or intended mob feeding, well your wrong. It very clear when someone purposely trying to mob feed. One they'll switch to full DP gear an pop the DP buffs so you and the mobs can't kill them. Second they'll only engage you after you aggro a pack of mobs. Third they won't use a single skill that does damage to you just spam their strongest CCs usually grabs an bounds. Fourth they will literally stand idle once your CCed a watch the mobs attack you.

So mob feeding ultimate simple solution is the same solution Trion invented for cart blockers in archeage. Simply issue temporary bans for first time offenders than perma bans for repeat offenders. That all they need to do to fix this in-game problem that clear an unintended exploit abused by griefers. But sadly this is PA there response to in-game toxic such as personal insults, mass griefing, and even death threats is "We aim to encourage a compititive PVP environment, as such we see nothing wrong with this user's actions." So GL getting them to punish obvious griefs exploiting game mechanics.

I would ask something about Archeachge, but it doesn't matter. Let's discuss BDO. Yes. I do agree, what you said about the mob feeding in your post. There's no doubt here. However, from your perspective as I can see it, you want to make bans on mob feeders. By that logic lets make bans on people making other petty problems. I wonder... How would you try to keep under control so many players at once? This might become problematic, albeit this effective suggestion.

By other petty problems I'd guess you mean karmabombing. Well that not really an exploit of game mechanics like mob feeding, its just a poorly designed mechanic. Really what needs to happen with that is a complete overhaul on how karma, flagging, and red player penalties work to fix this issue.

An really punishing karmabombers with bans isn't an option sense unlike mob feeding, karmabombers aren't forcing you to flag up an kill them there just annoying you an trying to encourage you too. But in the end of the day it down to you in order to flag an activity attack them to for them to succeed, while mob feeders just have to CC you while your attacking mobs and they succeed.

First, WHY IS THERE ANOTHER TOPIC ON THIS ISSUE, don't we already have like 50?

If mob feeding is punishable, so should Karma Bombing.  Both of these "features" are an indication that the current Karma system is broken and needs to be looked at to stop the exploits.

No karmabombing shouldn't be punishable cause not the same thing. As you can clearly read why right above your current post.

An this topic keeps occuring cause it literally a route hourly occuring event in this game cause this game's community is 1000% pure toxic in every way shape and form. Usually when the same thread keeps popping up on a forum its because it actually a major issue in the game that the developers should address and come up with a fix for it. Cause as we can see  with this reoccuring topic just because they refuse to fix it doesn't mean it stops being a problem.
