Because you opt into it when you level up to 50 from 49, the game tells you, you can and will be attacked by other players.  It's really not that hard of a concept to grasp.  You accepted the ability to be attacked at any time.  If you don't want to PvP, don't level up to 50, otherwise you are subject to forced PvP anywhere outside of a safe zone, which is also included in the quest text.

It would be like, you enter a Steakhouse, There is a sign on the door that says Steakhouse, we serve steak here.  Then when you are seated the hostess tells you, Everyone must order a steak, then when it comes time to order you ask for a vegan meal.  They told you repeatedly you must order a steak, that's your fault for not realizing that you must order a steak and instead request a vegan meal.

The level 50 "quest" ( even if you ignore where it really come from and the BDO situation at that time ) still only is an arbitrary "lock" / "force hand" that still arent related to something really needed by the game ( like a Moba need the pve & pvp part otherwise the game should be fully reworked )

Still change nothing, the only thing locking you is the quest, its still has no care if there is forced pk or not. Even the game itself just totaly negate your argument attempt

You really need to get out of that cognitive biais. Its not because you would force anyone entering a car to listen music very loud that the loud music become necessary to enter / drive a car.

Its the "necessity" "importance" for the game on a systemic level of the "forced pk" that's going to really determine everything ( like a Moba need the pve & pvp otherwise the game would need to be fully reworked to function again if you "remove" one element, BDO DONT CARE if you disable forced pk, therefore forced pk isnt necessary for the game to properly function = there is then no reason anyone should be forced to accept that )
