In a struggle between the strong established in weak upcomers. There really isn't a middle ground outside of letting them each have their own space. Even in Eve Online the MMO that is infamous for toxicity. Made it so people PKing in High Security space was pretty much just blown up by the NPC police. The Devs of that PvP Sandbox MMO also made it, so it don't just take you a hour or two to get your standings back to positive. But it took you normally days to weeks to do so. So that the criminal lifestyle became a lifestyle. Where global criminals was forced to do business in Low or No Security space.

You either make the penalties so harsh that the strong PK griefers think twice about doing it.Like in all of the other PvP oriented MMOs outside of BDO. Or you allow for the strong to practically freely have their way with the weak. Because the penalties against them are too small. Like it is now in BDO.

To remind you, PKers still have the option of going to Arsha channel. If they want to freely mass PK and feed players to NPCs. On the other hand weak players have no where to go to avoid to PK griefers. Call it what you want but PK griefers in this game have most of the power in their court. And they sure love to abuse it. Hence again is why these two systems are coming to the game.

The current Karma system allows toxicity both ways - either allowing people to PK with impunity because penalties aren't harsh enough, like you're saying, and allowing people to abuse the Karma system to Karma Bomb, AKA, purposefully negatively affecting another player's gameplay experience to a high enough degree, with the intent of coersing that player to flag up because of the frustration caused, thus, lowering another player's Karma.  Being an unwelcomed and rude intruder in an occupied solo grind spot rotation is one example.  So it goes both ways - and the Bounty System only addresses one side of it.

Be it as it may, if it reduces PK-ing of weak players by strong, that's a net positive...but, if it increases the amount of blatant and truly toxic Karma Bombing, maybe it's a net neutral, at best.  We'll see how it goes.  My only hope is that this particular content doesn't get ignored after release, like Garmoth RBF did.  If players make suggestions after release to improve it, I hope the devs are quick to implement these suggestions, if they are indeed good.

PK griefers are one thing. But I'm thinking about all the "Fifty shades of" reasons to PK, from defending a spot against morons who love to mess with the spot mechanisms, to PK griefing.

Now, even the player who would face the most obvious pve troll take the risk of being punished by simply hitting him.

Do you guys go to Steak House or BBQ restaurants and demand they start a vegan menu?

Honest question.

The actual answer is they already have a Vegan Menu, because a Steak House is a place for social gatherings, and people who invite their friends or want to hang with their friends will order the food they want to eat. Is this even real life? What exactly are you smoking? How is this an argument?

You're several weeks and pages late...

And even if we know that the initial analogy is not perfect, your answer is not working either.

In the end, you would still not be eating with your meat lover friends as, after ordering a vegan meal, you would also require a separate room for vegan eaters because you can't stand the sight and smell of steaks.

As such, the question would be : why don't you directly go to a vegan restaurant? ^^

You are also smoking whatever OP is. Because you're making stuff up to force your view. Vegans who accept to go to a steak house aren't going to go eat in some separate room.

Why don't you go directly to a vegan restaurant? Restaurants offer a variety of meals. RESTARAUNTS ARE SOCIAL GATHERING LOCATIONS. Did you literally not read what I said?

We're not really talking about restaurant, remember? ^^

We're talking about pve servers. These pve servers are a "separate room", no matter how you put it.

So I perfectly read you, and corrected you because you forgot an important part of the reasoning.

>Black Desert Online is a sandbox, living-world MMORPG. Experience fast-paced, action-packed combat, hunt monsters and huge bosses, fight with friends in a guild to siege nodes and conquer castles, train your life skills such as fishing, trading, crafting, cooking, and much more!

Thats the official statement about BDO, Not really a pvp MMO pvp heavy influence yes but not everyone does it, I played since 2016 never did a node war once and I dont plan on pvping

You tried to make some dumb statement about going to a meat restaraunt and ordering veggies. That would make sense if bdo was a pvp MMO but its really not its a open world sandbox life skill afk pvp game with pve and grind mixed in, try again kiddo

Op is referring to PVE Only servers.  You said it yourself, "its a open world sandbox life skill afk pvp game with pve and grind mixed in", and I completely agree.  BDO is PVP, PVE, lifeskill, AFK, RP, and more wrapped up in one package.

Basically, people are ordering a burger.  BDO offers a burger with meat, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and pickles.

> People are asking for no bun.

Those defending BDO's PVX / all-in-one style, are saying, the burger will simply not hold together without the bun.
