I happen to prefer succession playstyle because it is technically the OG way to play ranger. The whole pre-awakening playstyle and all. I agree awakening can use some buffs, but let's not delete succession for no reason.
I feel like there are two things that Ranger needs:
1) Sprit healing applied to both stances. This would help snuff out the remaining mana issues, and give the class a resource sustainability that matches the more recent classes.
2) Some sort of HP regeneration buff outside of Cold Blade, consumables, and add-ons. Probably on either Regeneration, or on Call of the Earth. It's impressive how much HP potions it is possible to go through at a grind spot in an hour.
I know a lot of people have rerolled off of Ranger simply because her staying power (the ability to go for a long time without needing to restock) is so low. Having the infinite pots does help, but you won't start trying for those until later in the game. Same story with the tent. Not everyone is going to feel justified to spend $50 on the pearl version, or 14m silver/week just to have a mobile shop fairy about.
Imo awak ranger just needs better mobility and fluidity between awak and pre awak.
Imo EES should be made faster and move 4x the distance in favor of a hard CD or at least a soft CD that moves half the distance but un protected. Give it the ability to move forward and make that a transition into awak.
Cold blade should have either forward movement to make it better for approaching or quick lateral movement to make it more evasive
Rushing wind (or w/e the flow of breezy is) should be a pass through attack
Elven rage should work like GRJ and be able to be charged for more damage/range and also repositioned.
I also think she should be able to attack in the air more
Air explosion shot should be a projectile that flows off any air movement or skill, including vine knot, and have a stiff on a 5s soft CD.
Rooting should be SA and also work off any air movement/skill using down + LMB for pre awak skills.
And evasion shot should have a 2-3s CD SA.
Also I think tearing arrow should be able to be stored and then used later by reactivating the skill, maybe with a time limit of 10s.
In succ this could even be made into a system that converts stores arrows into special attack modifiers.
Like charging wind can become homing projectile. Penetrating wind can pierce targets, blasting gust can cause a secondary explosion, and razor wind can have massively increased range (which should carry over to fury arrow and
Ranger only needs nerfs.
give back attack pls
ranger deserves its time in the sun
Ranger only needs nerfs.
I think a decent proportion of BDO players (at least in NA/EU) would agree that wizard mains shouldn't get a voice in balance discussions.

LOL the biased wizard is here complaining about grabs again when its the only thing that can stop his class.................

Yep +1

Shes good even without it but I agree why do we not have it? everyone else does?????
Ranger is mostly in a good spot, compared to a few years ago. Does the class have obvious downsides, it needs work on? Yes, absolutely and that can't be denied. But comparing it to back then, Ranger is playable. Mana/Stamina issues are mostly gone, DPS is fine in succession, awakening needs a slight buff, as any awakening does, but we do get more defensive ways of playing.
There are far worse classes out there right now, you can comfortably clear any grindspot, dominate in open world pvp, be a good asset as succession in Node Wars/Sieges to apply pressure.
Buffs are needed yes, but we are not that bad, as people make us out to be. Far from it.
our mana issues are basically gone, but replaced with stamina problems (dash going from mana to stamina and evasive shot getting a much higher stam cost are the main cultprits), and those can't be fixed with potions. we haven't gotten a whole lot to keep up with the power creep from new classes and succession making others even stronger in 1v1. in the past, I wouldve said ranger is in the top 5 of 1v1 classes, but now awakening is merely average.
