Succession ranger is honestly fine  its just a huge gear check. If you talking about Awakening then the main thing they need is faster animations on thier skills. Like using natures tremble one of our hardest hitting skills  is most of the time a death sentence if anyone is near you. Ranger is a tank buster and shes great at it evasion means nothing to us with the right AP and accuracy in a build but we are twigs in exchange for this ability. Which is a fine trade off. But most of our skills given we are a twig in  Awakening hold us in place. speed up the animations  and maybe buff damage on a few skill slightly and she will be in a perfect place. but as is your a  range support class that when jumped has a grab and can burst them down but at the cost of all your mobility to do so while also being a twig. Awakened ranger has a kit that has skills to deal with every class in the game. got a iframing assassin spam knockback arrows into them then knock them down. got a tank up in your face grab and nuke em. Witchard warp in grab and nuke them. Rangers not as weak as people make her out to be but her mobility is horid when using skills so if you miss the assassin your trying to kill will just warp around you at the speed of light and nuke you or any class really almost every class if not every class has more mobility then us fact!

it's not fine because ranger will always be bad so long as succession is ok in certain situations so just delete it if it means awakening (the only true ranger) gets buffed

I mean I have tried succession even with the nerfs you hit much harder with the bow due to multiple things as well as have accuracy modifiers on the skills themselves, awakening doesnt get those % acc boosts with its range damage.  your giving up all protection though to be a glass cannon. which again your a tank buster as long as you do the standard knockdown PW shotgun combo should have no issues killing. The Q spam also hits harder then awakening and if going backward is a issue turn back on camera locking like the old days people will struggle to catch up to you. Succession isnt weak you just have to have the AP to make the trade off from your sword  protection worth taking.  I prefer awakening personally but again the biggest downside to it is going in to combo and painting a big target on my back because im stuck in place for a long time even with vineknot/attackspeed buffs.

Ranger is mostly in a good spot, compared to a few years ago. Does the class have obvious downsides, it needs work on? Yes, absolutely and that can't be denied. But comparing it to back then, Ranger is playable. Mana/Stamina issues are mostly gone, DPS is fine in succession, awakening needs a slight buff, as any awakening does, but we do get more defensive ways of playing.

There are far worse classes out there right now, you can comfortably clear any grindspot, dominate in open world pvp, be a good asset as succession in Node Wars/Sieges to apply pressure.

Buffs are needed yes, but we are not that bad, as people make us out to be. Far from it.

Why ranger sucks. Her DP scaling is so bad that even with 400 DP someone with 250 ap can one shot you. Her only means of not instantly being yeeted by dmg is her iframe flip which results in ranger just spamming that skill any time the class is face with dmg. It also why any skilled awakening ranger will not be the one to start the enage. Every good awakening ranger will just iframe flip spam until they can land a grab because they know if they try do dmg when their oppent not CCed they'll instantly die by their oppent's dmg. DP scaling in this game needs to be completely looked at and changed so classes like ranger, tamer, kuno, and ninja don't instantly blow up the sec there meant with dmg mean while classes like wizard, guardian, valk, Nova have so much DP scaling that even a full combo won't even kill them. 

I'm not saying some classes shouldn't be tankier than others but why is it some classes some classes instantly die no matter how much DP they stake while other classes can basically be naked and still be just as tanky? The DP scaling between classes is completely fucked and it why classes like tammer, and ranger are complete dogshit. Cause in the end sense these class have zero DP scaling the more AP their oppent has just means this class will struggle more and no amount of getting better armor will change this issue if the DP scaling stays the way it is for these classes. Cause after all anything multiplied by 0 is still 0.

 I dont really see rangers DP as a issue as I used to in the past. Shes a tank buster and shes good at it. Evasion is a meme to us with the right gear and build. Shes a glass cannon with  a kit to deal with every scenario whether or not the game lets you play and not desync screwing you over is a feature for us at this point. Although I have to say so far these servers feel better almost like they have a higher tickrate still waiting on confirmation on that though.

My GM plays a ranger she at almost 400 DP. I watch her stream and see major issues with ranger DP scaling. Cause even at 400 DP my GM is almost one shot by people with 280 AP which just shouldn't be possible. I'm not saying ranger shouldn't be squishy but when people can one shot you when your at 400 DP something is clearly wrong under the hood. She even had to tag a witch just to grind at turo since even at 400 DP she not comfortable fighting thoses mobs since she been half HP by a single attack by the elite mob that spawns there.

I mean are they doing an evasion stacking build? DR doesnt do anything for us  and evasion you need so much of it to even have it work. I see where your coming from though. Even running an Evasion meme build I thing I was 385 DP or so  compared to other classes doing the same it makes you survive longer but you are no untouchable god.
