Ok, l will ask again, since I saw this many times but didn get an answer.
Why when someone comes on season and grief, kill mobs over you is not a problem to change channel, but if player comes and kills you, changing channel is not an option and you have to quit the game or demand changes???
Why is no problem to die from mob snd loose xp and crystals, but is such big problem to die from player and loose nothing???
Am sorry, but without logic explanation, which I dont see, it looks like just a hate.
And about emphaty part...my body is not the best, but when I have problems I dont try to change the product to suits me, I try to find one that works for me. Because I found it selfish.
It is not a problem if someone kills me if I am griding mobs, I don't grind anyway. I have already said on many occasions it is the pk while nowhere near mobs that is irritating to me and no doubt most of the people wanting a pve server. If they changed the open world pvp to only be allowed in actual mob grind spots I would not be asking for pve servers. More than ninety five percent of the times I have been attacked and killed is nowhere near mobs.
I was waiting for that answer.
The photo is to make people unfamiliar with the subject aware of how scarce resources in the scale of such a server room are needed to support such a game as BDO.
Tell me: how do you want to show 50 GB in 8 TB disk?
Three rooms like this one:
are the heart of one of the largest news portals in my country. They are designed to serve tens of millions of users. Not 50,000 as in BDO.
Keep digging your hole further, you tried to impress ignorants with your layman expertise and got caught. As several posters pointed out nothing you stated is accurate. Your job probably consist of plugging cables where actual engineers tell you where to plug them.
Case in point, MMO users don't use the same scale of ressources than web users, so please stop embarassing yourself in front of everyone by stating that the processing power required to serve tens of thousands MMO customers fits in a blade unit box.
On top of that, if you hosting company only charges 1k dollars yearly to serve 50k concurrent gaming users then it has shit tier level of SLA and service.
Oh wait there is more: good luck patching a powered off server lol. What you meant was obviously turning off services, patching then turning on services back. Not sure you even interacted with a server in your life, as I stated you probably work for proximity team and press power button when both the server and DRAC fail.

The AI in this game leaves their designated grind spots to hunt you down.
You confuse them with players cause you leave chat on.

Congratulations, this is hands down the most ridiculous comment I have seen in any forum.

That all I'm saying about this post like seriously wtf.
Also wtf are half of these arguments? Most of the people defending OWPVP are people saying it will encourage griefers grinding over top of them. Like ok sure, but WTF who said you had to grind the the servers were OWPVP is disabled exactly? But than your the same people complaining about karmabombers when there a server called Arsha were there no karma lose. I don't understand these fire in water arguments that make zero sense.

You basicaly didnt answer my question. You dont grind mobs which means you only lifeskills and probably bartering. At this activities PKing is even rarer. So again, why changing server is not a solutuion?
I still think that most of users who wrote so pasionly for PvE servers are just in need of it because of hate to PvP, not that they need PvE server so much. After all every one of them at some point staited that they are PKed veryrarely. One coment was something like this - " I grinded peacefuly for three months and someone killed me"...
Kinda wierd, dont you think ?

Another comment was stating that they faced forced PvP and getting mob fed quite often. Are you going to tell me 550 GS have no business grinding spots intended for them. That they should roll the turd downhill into a player at a lesser spot. If we follow this trend, then where does that leave the newplayers fresh out of Olvia channels. The player that don't know which way is up. Should they just not be able to play the game because they simply came too late to the game?
Your food analogy just does not work here because I do have allergy to seafood and yet I do accompany people that do not have such allergies to seafood restaurants and am able to get food that I can eat.
Secondly I bought this game but had no idea that there was forced open world pvp in it. I knew there was pvp but thought it was like both guild wars two and elder scrolls online in that it was consensual. Their advertising made no mention of the forced nature and neither do they explain that early on in your game play.
It seems to me that all five of you that are against pve servers are worried that they are the only people interested in pvp.
It will make no difference to you if the players that are wanting pve servers move to said servers and are locked there if the trend of about fifrt/ fifty is real as seen in all previous polls. What will happen is that the players move to whichever server they want and the player density per server should stay much the same. The only difference you would find is that any open world pvp encounters you have should be more entertaining because you will have players that will fight back. Or is that what you are scared of?

such things have been said since weeks & months now, but you will face ppl that refuse to understand such "simple thing" as apparently they want everyone to only play according to their personal vision ( even if that personal vision isnt even a BDO reality )

Says the one who uses big words such as "systemic level" yet can't comprehend the necessary role PVP plays in BDO despite being told for years.
