Let's face it: we don't really need content. More importantly, we don't need meaningful content that would actually enrich the game. We just need new classes to keep running the same old rotations over and over and over.

Meaningful content that would draw players to BDO isn't necessary at all. As it stands, we can just get a new class, re-buy everything that we have probably bought for the 100th time so we can do the same things we have been doing for the 100th time as well. It's a perfect match. This should provide a sense of fascist boredom that every single human on the planet has been looking for all our lives.

In short, thank you, pearl abyss, for continuing to bring us boring/non-existent content with new classes. This should prove very sustainable in terms of product quality and enjoyment. It's probably the best way for BDO to acquire great lasting fame and massive prestige.

I agree that many people just play the new classes as content because there is just the same old, same old. I disagree that many spend any money on them, unless they are going to main them.  I have one of every class except zerker and I have only spent money ( not much ) on four of them. It may be the main aim of the game devs but  I doubt most are stupid enough to spend money on every character they make. Groundhog day definitely springs to mind though.

IDK there some really specially stupid people in the world. I know someone that spend his whole college tuition once on archeage. And I know another specially stupid person in BDO that bought 1 of every outfit for every class. So ya I can easily see the same specially stupid people buying inventory and weight for every class. After all PA only needs 1 or two morons like this to make a massive profit releasing a single class.

True but the again did I not state that Most would not  be that stupid?

Still playing Ranger, one of the OG classes, I have tried all the new classes, but I didn't like the play style. I spent the longest time on Archer, almost as long on Tamer, but ultimately I went back to Ranger.  I just like her play style the best.  Not everyone is a slave to the Meta, some of us actually play the game for fun.

Same, still maining the first class I made in charcater creation and actually played (Sorc bae).  There was a period in time where Sorc, a grabless-heavily-nerfed-squish-o-matic was sitting at the bottom of PVP tier lists (before Absolute Skills, before Rabams, during the height of lingering SA + grab era), and still mained Sorc throughout.  Often literally running away for dear life from all those crazy Valks and Zerkers lol.

Funny how I was just thinking I'd start only logging in to turn in imperial boxes until the next class comes out. I did buy a ghillie, max weight and a horse flute for my sage, but I don't think I will for another new class unless it's a healer.

Expansions for Guild Wars 2 and Final Fantasy 14 are coming in a few months so I probably wont feel the need to rrrr... rrrr through the story on a new class for a while.

But they don't need most.  They just need a few whales to make up for people like me who is spending less money that what I cost them in server costs fractionalized for my personal load.  Well...maybe not that low...but I'm looking at under half a penny an hour.  They would have shut the doors LONG ago is they only had players like me....so I thanks the whales for letting me play for so cheap.

Also somebody who has the money, and feels that playing virtual barbie for hundreds of dollars a month is not being stupid.  They can afford it...they are feel it is worth it...not stupid.  Not something I would do...but not my money and not my fun.  There are people who buy a car which loses  100s of thousands of dollars in value as soon as they drive it off the lot.  That isn't stupid either as long as that was worth the money for the person doing it and they can afford to do it.

I have never understood the mentality of "OMG YOU SPENT MONEY ON THAT, U SO STUPID" The only thing that makes sense when someone says something like that is that it is coming from a place of envy and jealousy.  It's one thing to mortgage your house to tap pen fallen god for the 50th time, it's another to work an extra hour of overtime and spend that on something you like, so unless someone is taking out a massive loan or running up all their credit cards on BDO, it really is not "stupid".

I have to ask, do you buy Pearl items from the CM?  If you do, you might not be spending any money, but you are providing revenue by grinding and buying the pearl item from the CM so that the whale doesn't have to grind himself.  This means that while you personally spend less than a penny per hour to play, you might actually be providing $15-30/h whenever you buy a costume from the CM.

Cause only a moron would take out a college loan to spend it all on a video game there going to stop playing in 2 months. But this are the same morons that encourage the absolutely greedy montization that we see in BDO and other games clearly made to be cash grabs. But hey I wouldn't expect you to understand what greedy montization is you are the guy that claims cosmetic only cash shops are P2W in games you've never played.
