Mudster slowly taking over the world. Dungeons are not safe either. On a side note, sad that there is no official response with 1k upvotes....if they don't care to fix it at least tell us in the face so we stop bothering too.

Maybe on serious topics like a complete destruction of one of BDO's strong points, 1k upvotes isn't "enough interest" in the topic, as far as Adventurer Feedback Board is concerned. Pretty sure 100k upvotes wouldn't change much either, as long as ppl still flex their new outfits which, as we could have seen, are not spared the potato graphics treatment either...
:Bump!:
This is a lie! You cannot see all of the Kamasylvia in one glance from there. Technically, you can see no Kamasylvia at all...
Oh wow, this one is embarrassingly bad. Even more so when you compare it against how they present the game to potential new players. It's like a meme in the making.
The guy she tells you not to worry about:

Most Improved Game btw.
With 1200 upvotes, you'd think this would at least get posted on the totally-not-abandoned Adventurer Feedback Board and be given a response. Any day now, I'm sure.
Well, BDO had 4 things going for it: the visuals, the combat, the complexity and the boobs. The devs, willing or not, got rid of the first, they're working hard on nuking the next two. Seemingly, they've picked the last one to become their game's selling point. I wonder how will that work out in the end...

There's a polished dev build of BDO which they use for promotional videos and pictures and then there is the player build which looks like crap in comparison since it was downgraded almost two years ago because [reasons].
False advertising. Plain and simple.
It's not only this thread btw. I sent multiple support tickets and other players I know did so as well.
we try to get them to fix this and looks like they do not care at all about it i sent stuff to support about it and reall never get and answer why they will not do something with a button or something

U know how CDPR removed traffic to optimize the CP2077 game? I'm guessing something similar happens here too, only they may have went a bit overboard and, as seen in the Kama panoramic view, removed literally everything. And they're not reacting to it, because they didn't find a solution to this issue. Maybe the game got too bloated for its own good?
Thing is, them acknowledging the issue and saying they're looking for a solution won't do jack either. They said they'll revitalize the sea content and revamp trading a few days ago too, right? Or, was it... years? You get the point. I just wish that the vocalized distaste towards the state the graphics of the game are in will grow big enough for them to actually focus on it instead of bringing out more halfassed outfits (with bad animation - if at all, judging by the state of maegu's robes - and horrible rigging that makes everything clip with everything else).

If our version of BDO would look like the promotional video and concept art, we would be very, VERY happy. In fact, didn't it always look like the promo art until recently? Some textures look like 16x16. I hope that the quixel logo isn't just for show because I play with quixel in UE5 and if BDO could look somewhat like it, wow... Night and day. But until that day comes, bring back LOD! I didn't spend a fortune on an enthusiast grade PC just to play on potato graphics because BDO was part of my consideration for the purchase. :'(
But who knows? Maybe the old LOD was causing a lot of crashing after a certain update. Whatever the case is, we'd love to know why the LOD was turned into potato setting and if there is a chance of it ever coming back? Why was this ever changed? So if you're listening PA, we'd love to get your feedback from this. If you tell us that there was a technical reason why this happened and you've been trying to fix it, we'll understand and be more patient but keeping us in the dark hurts. I don't mind if the game drops in FPS if I toggle the LOD, as long as I can choose and I'm sure everyone else here feels this way.

At this point I'm worried that they'll have to rewrite the whole damn engine to actually fix it x.x; Not that that would be a bad thing - the poor thing has struggled enough over the years - but I don't have a ton of faith that they have the time or resources to do so.
I do agree with your point about communication as well, this has always been a tricky topic for any dev team. Give out too much communication about something too early and you start to trigger people's impatience, don't give out enough communication about something people are hoping for and... Hmmm x) At the very least I do think it's a good idea for devs to provide updates, helps ease some of the impatience for sure.

If upvotes are worthless, vote with your wallet. It won't compensate for the thousands of sheep who still give them money, but it is something. And when you hear about people who want to try this game, you can link them here >:)
There's no reason to let these guys away with this. Ideally, consumer protection groups should get involved at this point, as someone else said above, this is false advertizing. But I doubt we will ever get anything done. It's just a shame that the MMO market is further poluted by low quality offers.
