why can we not get a slider bar and let us see the game how we want i use to exsplore so i could see how really nice and time spent to make it look like a real world now day it just ugly

And I still don´t get why at least they do not fix the bug of missing near distance detail textures.

I spend a lot of time in Duvencrune and the road there is really an ugly mess, Lineage 2 textures looked better, hands down. Next stream I´ll ask the GM, maybe that way helps, I cannot imagine this being intentional really. Just seems like overwork (or slack?) on the devs side. Or do they want to cut server bandwith costs by sending less data about visual surroundings? Can only speculate at this point...

I was wondering if this happens to only AMD gpu users or Nvidia as well?

Since the summer beach event the game just look bad....i sail alot and fish alot, its easy to see something is not right.

Id play with texture settings, as some of you have roads that look like....well yeah...i dont have that with high textures but only with medium or low. The LOD on the other hand happens no matter what i pick. It seems like only some people are effected by this since, there aint more people talking about it. Could it be a steam or old launcher only thing? Id like to have the old LOD back pre the beach event....The game looked amazing back then. Sure people with potato computers can just play on low?

I am playing through Steam with a 3090. It just seems that distance objects have been removed. Otherwise I would have also believed a technical issue to be the culprint. 

And no word whatsoever from the publisher´s side for almost 2 years now leads me to believe that this might be intentional after all.

Well, actual improvement so to speak: The detail textures for close range seem to be back again for me since today´s patch!

Others check and verify please. I cannot find this in the patch/bugfix notes. But I have not seen these stones unblurred in weeks.

As you see we care about this game, we spend quite some time and many also money and we want this to be a successful game which comes from a great experience. And GFX are one of the major factors of BDOs unique experience.

So it seems we may be back to square one with this topic. Please, please also do bring back the LOD for more distant objects as it used to be. Best: Improve the LOD to allow the user more settings according to their hardware and preference. As you know some ppl play this game just for max FPS on potao graphics while others want the best visual experience. Both should be relevant to you. :)
