I love(d) this game because of the great pains they take(took) to make everything feel so real!
I have a suspicion that the game is getting too big for its servers to handle. I'm no tech-guru, but I REALLY don't want to say they're getting sloppy. How does one accidentally degrade the game like this? A satisfactory answer would be nice.

Don't wanna get my hopes up... but this is from today's Global Lab update (google translated)
"Fixed the issue where distant vegetation was not displayed on the screen."
It would be a VERY nice surprise if it actually happened, but after almost 2 years of this issue going... I don't know if I should be hopeful.

We can only hope, i just looked at a picture of mine from 2017 and went to the same place today to see the difference. It is insane how bad it looks now....I REALLY REALLY hope they gona fix it soon.
Game look like trash now, sadly....

Went onto global labs today, the trees have returned. It may not be as pretty as it once was but at least the distant trees are back.

Well, actual improvement so to speak: The detail textures for close range seem to be back again for me since today´s patch!
Others check and verify please. I cannot find this in the patch/bugfix notes. But I have not seen these stones unblurred in weeks.

As you see we care about this game, we spend quite some time and many also money and we want this to be a successful game which comes from a great experience. And GFX are one of the major factors of BDOs unique experience.
So it seems we may be back to square one with this topic. Please, please also do bring back the LOD for more distant objects as it used to be. Best: Improve the LOD to allow the user more settings according to their hardware and preference. As you know some ppl play this game just for max FPS on potao graphics while others want the best visual experience. Both should be relevant to you. :)

it not really any better as i ride my horse at a slow speed still see everything poping in and not that far in front of me I also try to see how far it was when i could not see my horse and the distance is still very short if you do not use the made to get you close to your horse you will not find it

Yea you are right, to me it has also been an on/off experience with these textures sometimes being displayed (like right now) and sometimes not. May be an issue of server load?

That would be good news indeed. But what do you mean "not as pretty as it once was" - they just brought back some distance trees and that´s it?

Interesting. What does "not as pretty as it once was" mean? Could you provide a screenshot from somewhere higher up?
