Would have been really nice to keep the previous cancel task (after completed) option AND add this force cancel task immediately option.
The only way to naturally stop them now without canceling and losing materials is to go to the town storage and take the materials out or wait for their stamina to run out. Some workers have a lot of stamina so the latter really inefficient (plus, very annoying to have to feed all the workers EXCEPT the one you want to stop).
I appreciate the changes although a different button to cancel task when current taks is complete would be really great so we don't have to lose our mats!
How laughtable, they change something without thinking before, so in the end they create new issues....
I would prefer to have don't repeat as an option, but if I had to choose between stop instantly and wait until the current cycle is done, i'll take the stop instantly, because if i'm stopping a worker, I have something else intended for him. Feeding a worker's energy is extremely cheap like 250 silver per energy, so the only thing that is really lost is the time already used on the specific task.

Thanks for your constructive input. Your suggestion will most certainly help making BDO a better game.
Not entirely sure what you mean by "you have to go to town and take out your mats"
This is misinformation.
The only materials you loose is the materials that the worker would have gathered if he had finished the task. You don't loose anything already in your storage. So there is no downside on this mechanic. The only thing you loose when you stop a worker in progress is time spent.
You don't receive any materials from the task until the worker has physically returned to town and deposited them. (00:00)

You do realize that workers also craft items? .............

If a worker has been assigned to a task that actually uses materials (e.g. crafting gear or an alchemy utensil), then canceling the current task now throws away the materials that they've used on it, whereas previously, canceling the task just resulted in the worker stopping once they'd finished the current task, and materials weren't lost or wasted. With the current behavior, the only way to then stop the worker without wasting materials is to move all of one of the types of materials they need out of the storage for the city that they're in so that they don't have the materials to do their next task and will thus stop after completing the current one. That's what they meant about taking materials out of the town storage in order to stop the worker.
2023 and this is still an issue. That makes me sad.
