For gods sake, PA, everything in your global labs right now regarding PvP is going to kill this game.

The insanely prohibitive cost of running guild wars disproportionately affects smaller guild's that don't have the constant influx of funds from node wars. This means larger guilds will be able to have permanent war declarations, but smaller guilds will never be able to dec for very long. This is asinine. Leave the system the way it is. It's not broken.

Also, this new bounty system is dumb as hell. We already have karma. Why do we need infamy as well? Also, why should we pay 30 million silver to RNG recover infamy points? You're going to absolutely kill the game like this. Everyone kills another player at some point, so everyone is going to have infamy. By trying to do away with PvP, you're forcing it onto everyone.

If people really hate PvP that much, just give them one or two PvE servers, and leave the game alone for the rest of us. Stop trying to fix what's not broken.

These are the consequences of exploiting guild wars system to grief people who do not want to participate in unfair pvp.

If they don't want to participate in PvP, they shouldn't grief players in their rotations, kill them while they're lifeskilling, or talk crap about other people/guilds.

As for "unfair PvP," there's no such thing as "fair" PvP. If you were killed by someone with better gear, then get better gear. Don't permanently try to ruin the game for everyone because you can't be bothered to grind.

True not all PvP is griefing. But the PvP these new systems are targeting is all about griefing. Mob feeding is the height of griefing, more so when you do in a zone the is for players that have less than half your calculated stats.

You know what forced PvP these systems don't target? ARSHA forced PvP.

You bullies brought it apon yourselves. Just be glad the penalties are not as bad as they are in other Open World Forced PvP MMOs. (Imainge killing one time and get a 30minute global criminal timer where if you just enter lawful zones during this period. NPCs instantly blow you up and you lose everything your character has equiped and in the inventory.) In my book these Devs are just letting you guys off with a tap on the wrist.

Yup just get 150 Billion in gear that allow you to barely compete against these griefers. While these griefers make sure to grief you all the spots that earn over 50Mil per hour. Or was you implying that players should have to pay around $75,000 just to be able to get geared enough to defend themselves so they can grind?

I have nothing against the PvP, but from a long time it needed some touch. In the distant past, when I was grinding and minding my own business there were always PKers who wanted to just kill me for several reasons-for the place I grind at, for the sport or to grief me in a way. The penalty for negative karma wasn't enough, because the PKer could just get away with that without anything too punishable.

We'll see how the bounty system turns out once it comes live. But I do hope it won't be exploitable in a way I think. I won't type it here and now.

Very true, which is why I vehemently oppose these changes. If they take effect, you'll no longer be able to just flag and kill them without severe and lasting consequences. They'll grief your rotation, and when you kill them, they'll put a bounty on you which will make you perma-red until satisfied. If you dec, then it'll cost 3% of your guild funds per day, and if you drop the dec, you won't be able to redec for three whole days, meaning the griefer can come back and repeat the process.
