First, this is assuming you are losing the 4 most expensive. Most of the time, you will only lose 2-3 crystals and what are the chances it hit the hooms. Hooms price is also fluctuating hard where it jumped from 25m to 40m each while on average the price of elixir is always around 11-12m. This is also assuming the ultra rare scenario u got mobfed while grinding, where it is extremely rare ocassion and it isnt technically a pvp death by definition
Second, this is an absolutely unrelated correlation assuming you die by mobfeed. You can also get mobfeed in crocs, and this topic is simply for death by PVP. Land death by player does NOT destroy your crystal. Assumption of this being mobfeeding is a totally different topic where I also think should be fixed
Not all of your sailors get sick every time when your boat sinks as well. You can't go worse case senario on 1 and best case on another and say "sEe BaLlAnCeD"

Let me show you the math
Not all sailor get sick true, but all of them will have their gauge reduced to 0.
Raisin bread is 10k each. Normal sailor is around 120-140 hunger
Combat carracks run between 5 to 10 sailors, with the meta being 10 sailors and most ppl use this if they want to be competitive.
Assume 3-4 sick each sink for your 10 sailor setup, which is a reaaly lucky one. You will need 6-7 sailor being healed, so thats like, another 10mil. Not counting the 1.5 mil you need to repair damage and resupply your carrack
In the end, its also around 40-50 mil per sink that is guaranteed to happen, and afk barterers lose maybe 30mil due to less sailors assuming 2-3 sick out of 5 sailors (and ignoring the fact of cargo value). This still doesn't justify ocean pvp death to be this punishing when you can just spawn safe zone for free on land pvp death
Now, you have ocean gvg, you will sink other and be sunk lot of times. Your ship survive 10 min average, which is really good if you actively fight. Also you use combat sailor. Congrats active pvp on ocean is negative 200m+/hr while the bestest of best grindspot in ocean with high efficiency only give 220m+ per hour with hardcapped valor gear
PVP on land? 1 silver oasis meal, refill vell's heart, what else? I'll be generous and assume you use giant draught (priced at 500k) and dies every 1 minute, which is reaaaly bad performance. That's only 30-35m/hr while you make 300+mil/hr on elvia. I am not even going to talk about the 500m/hr ones
I gave worst case scenario of pvp death on land vs good/average case scenario of 1 hr active pvp on ocean, this should be good indicator how broken and pointless this system is

Yeah don't care about your "math", I don't care. You are being dishonest at best, flat out lying to change your narrative at worst.

????
Which part am i lying exactly? You're disagreeing to the whole suggestion to remove sailor sickness on pvp death for no reason at all right now
Also, after I check, you're not even artisan sailing so I'd be guessing lv 49 afk barterer? We are talking about pvp stuffs here please come back when your ship can shoot cannons
Imagine crying about an item that costs 10m and which is constantly supplied in the player market.
Also lol at all the incompetent clowns that show up with their cash shop conspiracy theories about such an easy and cheap item to get free of IRL charge.
Imagine the lack of awarenes somebody must have to believe that it would be any other reason than the "conspiracy theory" that has been presented. When players such as yourself maintain the misguided belief that this is not a driving factor behind the cash grab, pointing out it being buyable on the market as your counterargument, while simultaneously dismissing the fact that the remedy is for sale on the cash market, shows anyone with above average awareness that you literally have no concept as to why BDO even exists. Let me help you, it exists so that the people who created it can make money. What makes money? The cash shop. What brings players to the cash shop? Players who don't have enough silver to constantly buy things on the market, but have enough cash to buy it from the cash shop. And what keeps players doing that? Developers coming up with ideas and stratagies that keep the flow of players migrating to the cashshop through game mechanics and mishaps. This begs the question, is this your first MMO?
(And yes, I nkow this is a necro'ed thread, however, a google search brought me to this thread as I am a new player in THIS game and needed answers to a question, which lead me to the less than average "gamer" who made the snide comment. It needed to be addressed, since it is clear this individule believes the world to be full of sunshine and rainbows and is clueless how games like this one make their money. A response to this person was required.)
Just get rid of boat PvP completely, with the exception of Arsha server. There is zero content for boat pvp other than to ruin people's games that just want to do their own thing. PA never invested in boat PvP content and probably never will.
i dont understand why should sailing people be spared negative effects in pvp?
In land pvp, you don't lose EXP when you die and you don't lose crystals?? what u talking about?
