Pffft.. Cmon.. where are you living at? You think Korean Gaming Companies are that dumb, to not see, what the general public of gamers want nowadays or what they always wanted? I am sure they strife to be same good or stay as good as their competitors in rest of the world, and bring same quality, to not lose their supporters. Nevertheless they have probably more than half of their gamers outside of southkorea, so its easy for them to follow the trend and not only look on their own market.

Pearl Abyss also gets a lot of trends through their other big title EVE Online, and input and ideas for their development from Crimson Desert, Plan 8, etc.

And btw. it´s not like you have to buy stuff from cash-shop to be good in BDO. Nobody is forcing you to buy it. Neither you get that much better ingame, when you put real cash into it, except you are a rich person. So in general for the normal person it´s more like pay to convenience, but of course, if you got millions of dollars in your pocket and don´t know where to put it, you can buy your best gear, but thats only for a tiny amount of people who play that game. So the majorities of players are just the same good as you are and didn´t invest a lot of money in the pearl shop I reckon. 

But back to topic. If the community cries enough about this topic for having options to adjust or remove advertisements, pop ups, etc. Than I am convinced we will have a good change on the game.

I wish I was as naive as you when it comes to Korean devs.

We, the player community, have asked PA from day 1 of BDO to cut down on pushing the cash shop to our faces at every turn. Guess what they have done? Add more and more ways to push the cash shop to your face at every turn possible.

Ever noticed that the pearl shop is the ONLY non-game screen you can access from ANY possible instance and position in the game? Try using the dye system while on a ship? Yeah. Try using the pearl shop. Mhm.

I've said this before and I'll say it again: BDO cash shop (and most other Korean game cash shops) are not aimed for the average consumer. They're aimed at ppl who are willing to fork out THOUSANDS (or tens of thousands) of dollars per year into a video game. That's their target demographic. Everyone else in the game is collateral they're willing to spit on to please the whales.

The faster you understand this the sooner you can make an educated decision if you want to keep supporting this mindset or not.

Going around the topic won´t help this post... Make your own "Remove Cash-Shop" topic, than maybe people will support your discussion, which will nevertheless turn in circles over and over again... 

And you won´t ever be able to have the cash-shop removed, there is already in a lot of multiplayer games ingame shops, where many of them are not from Southkorea. Thats how business is working, because of competition and money. People want free or cheap games, but companies still need money, to provide content and improvement for the people who play the game. Employees are not for free, electricity is not for free, maintenances are not for free, and a lot more, what companies have to pay. So you cannot have a free to play game and a ingame cash shop for no real-money. 

Better get some facts first, before talking about complaints from day 1. Pearl Abyss started it´s full distribution more successful world wide in 2018, so only from that year on, numbers were growing in turnover and in a growing playerbase. So before that years, PA was only able to get clear voices from southkorea, and not so much feedback from other parts of the world, or maybe had multiple problems to get those feedbacks translated or filtered.

So with that numbers and their offices in US, EU, Russia, etc., they know much more now, what players over the world want to have and like. It just takes them time to implement and change features, no running system can be changed over night or over a few months. So it will take always some steps to have it changed. 

But it will definitely help everyone in this topic, if you keep whining about cash-shop ideas, while this topic is in general about Advertisements in Bottom-Right of Screen and less popups in general, what people complained here. 

Well that image shows that bdo ain't doing that well, it's declining, slowly, but steadily.

Also just head over the bugreport section, and you can see hundreds of reports, basically noone was adressed. They don't even care about the bugs, not to mention the feedback.

And before trying to say some bs about being in NA/EU, I also check KR forums periodically, but PA don't give a shit about them either. They live in their own little, closed world, they have a "vision", and do whathever they please. They don't care about the players.

Though it's not like other game companies would give a fuck about the milking cow... erm the players. You need to understand their point. The players are here to pay, not to have fun. Why would they care about their annoing suggestion? They would need to actually start to work for that cash then lol, it's much easier to just sell outfit for P2W in a packs of 10 with some discount, than improving the game...

Show me where I asked for the complete removal of the cash shop? I have nothing against cash shops that offer good value for the normal average joe playing video games and putting in ~20 bucks a month to a single game (perhaps the same amount to multiple games, depending on the amount of free time and disposable income available).

BDO cash shop is nothing like that. It's aimed for the tiny minuscule portion of players who have way too much money to spend on pixels, and are stupid enough to spend it on such. Don't tell me you cannot see it when you look at the pricing? Want to have the full experience and all the buffs? 65 EUR a month! Want to have a single full set of costume for your character that doesn't look like crap? 33 EUR! Want to be able to carry more than 15 minutes grind's worth of trash loot? 50 EUR or more.

The pricing is insane. And people paying this are even more insane. Yet apparently there's no shortage of idiots willing to put in hundreds or thousands of EUR per month in a single game.

That and the new pop-up for the Black Spirit Adventure. Both the Dark Rift bosses and BSA now have icons on the bottom of the screen. The additional banners are just redundant and annoying.

Personally, I don't want to see any banners popping up ever, and I have turned off every pop-up that I can. However I suspect that PA won't ever agree to get rid of the ones for the pearl shop. Still, many of the banners that pop up aren't money-related at all, so I would hope that PA would seriously consider removing them. I'd love for the pearl shop ones to go away too (especially since I already pay close attention to sales in the pearl shop and buy stuff from there on a regular basis), but I'd be surprised if they were willing to drop them. That being said, at least they do allow you to turn off the annoying pearl shop banners that pop up when you run out of weight and the like. So, PA isn't completely unreasonable about it. Still, I wish that they were more reasonable.
