There is no rule you have to play only one MMO. I play multiple at the same time:

Black Desert to have long-term progress and fun combat mechanics

Final Fantasy XIV to casually play dungeons and enjoy a well written storyline

Guild Wars 1 for nostalgia and coming up with all kind of ideas for skill builds

Guild Wars 2 to play with some of my family members

Then there are some other MMO's:

World of Warcraft used to entertain me a lot in the past, but now it's just not the same anymore and I cannot find any way to enjoy it again

Star Wars: the Old Republic is an incredible game in the Star Wars universe. It's getting kinda old, but I love the setting.

What I'm trying to say is you don't have to restrict yourself to a single MMO. There is no one-size-fits-all MMO, so why not get the best of each different one?

Every game has its own problems, some of them created by the developers others found and exploited by players.

Some players that have Negative opinions of a game do actually have valid points. The issue is that those that have these opinions generally turn into a situation of toxic behavior due to the fact that the developer most often won't listen to the voice of a single player. Unless there is a underlying factor like content creators that have a massive following.

Players that have a Negative opinion of the game simply becouse they do not get the attention or change from the developer they get more eccentric in there behavior in an attempt to garner the attention they seek. Trolling forum posts, toxic wording, argumentative until there posts are so bad they are deleted or banned.

Again I don't agree with some players opinions and I have more than a few that I don't like as well. I also acknowledge the fact that PA will most likely never see or hear my opinion.

So I am of the old school train of thought, complaints about a game, product, food you name it may be irritating to the developer but those that verbally complain will still continue to use your product the concern is those that nether complain or communicate anything they simply evaporate into the ether never to return and those players will tell there friends, family and coworkers about there experience in turn will stop them from even committing to a product.

Any smart gamer will always goto the forums of a game they are looking to play. Taking in the over all health of the game trolls and white knights alike.

BDO has its own unique set of issues some of which is completely created by the developers and they continue to do so. Most of which is them not understanding the over all player base OR geographic locations like infrastructure differences between KR and US in terms of internet or distance from server location to the player base.

I.E. most players in KR are withing a few hundred miles of the servers with extremely good infrastructure and US were servers are in California not central US and players like myself on east coast 3k+ miles away.

This causes lag, de sync and a host of issues.

The above is one problem there are so many others that can be said but we will have to focus on that for another thread.

My point is simply this we may get irritated by some peoples comments I for one can't stand constant Negative commentary with no intellectual thought and or understanding of those in the discussion. When this happens I as well will get down in the gutter and go toe toe so I can be part to blame for the conversations turn but at least I can admit it.

TBH BDO is kinda stagnant and dead.  The only reason why it doesn't look dead is because ppl are encouraged to stay online as much as possible (AFK  Activities/ Daily rewards/Farming lifeskill etc)

Lost Ark completely blows BDO out of the water.  It has better PVP, teleports, an actual Story, GW2 mechanics where you do map completions for rewards.   Plus it's free and doesn't treat you like a cash cow.  I've only spent 60 bucks on it for the past 2 weeks.  Oh and you don't need to keep your PC running 24/7.

It has a better gear enhancing system, you can transfer your gear enhancements to your new gear so your progress isn't lost.  Gathering enhancing mats is easy.  Lots of things to do and areas to explore.

Meanwhile in BDO.... you login, spend 5 hours trying to burn 505 energy chopping trees, 2 hours running around doing Dark rifts, 1 hour grinding the same Hadum Fogans you've been killing for the past year, afk chopping wood, afk gathering water, afk fishing.

I've been seeing soo many posts where people are throwing these sentences so many times

"Go play wow/ff14/eso"

"Nobody forces you to play BDO"

"Don't like it, don't play it"

And so many other variances of these

Now, this is what I want to say, let's be more welcoming to people instead of pushing them away from the game even more

Game is not perfect, and people's taste change over time. We are here mostly as BDO players who want to keep playing BDO. If we keep telling people to gtfo as a solution whenever a suggestion or complaints come out, that is exactly what will happen. Active players are gradually getting less, lot of guilds are dying, community discord traffic goes down, and people are moving to different MMORPG that are all coming up soon. Heck even this forum is extremely dead. BDO need to keep adapting to new trends and demand to keep up.

When everyone left, what will be the point of your 800 GS when theres nobody to interact with? Might as well play private server BDO. The first two M in MMORPG stands for Massively Multiplayer. Please let's stop making this into a single player RPG game more than it is already. If you don't agree to something, give a constructive feedback instead of suggesting the person to go away

Since launch... and yeah I just got my 6th birthday cake and 35 shakatu seals... this game has been a target for every troll I can imagine and a few I hadn't. More often than not it's from people who love the game the first week and then experience getting a mount so you dom't have to run everywhere. Then after a couple of weeks they need gear and a whole can of worms opens up.

I tell some of these folks that yes, this game is a journey, but you are free to tackle the chalenges it poses in any number of ways. I know players who have been around since I started and have yet to spend real money on it. And these are people with a lot of maids, pets, outfits, and VPs. This game has been brilliantly designed yet has some problems. It was made by a money hungry company, too. Regardless, I fail to understand the level of hostility toward the game. It's a constant, yet has taken so many forms... like the time PA had the audacity to "censor" what a child-like character could physically expose.

I just listen to it all now and admire the level of creative energy that some are willing to expend on attacking the game. It is what it is. For the kind of stuff that BDO is lacking, I also play other games and come back to my grind and life skill routine for a few hours a day. And take all the discussion over the game that at it's most fundameental level, never changes.

Dungeons, raids, dailies, weeklies, teleports, no open world pvp, gear that will be regularly replaced, iLevel restrictions, themepark pvp maps, no real freedom when it comes to choose the way to improve your gear (in BDO, money is nearly always an option to get better equipment, and money can be earned through many methods), repetition of the same actions through several alts...

Really, I'm happy that BDO is here.

And you already spent 60 bucks on 2 weeks... for a F2P... And when you'll reach a high iLevel, let's see if the CS is not as predatory as BDO CS.

TBH means To Be Honest, no you are not being honest you are just infact using YOUR OPINION.  You should have used IMHO for your abreviation.  Thank You have a nice day.

From someone that VPNed into the Russian LA servers, I can tell you that not only is the CS more predatory, but you are then mandated to use RMTs to get into the new raids because the people running the raids would charge 1,000 rubles (about 10 US dollars) to join most raids.  So either you need your own dedicated group that is going to slog through that are willing to spend money in the CS to advance their gear or you have to do a RMT to buy your way into raids so you can avoid using the CS, either way you need to spend money to advance.

If they whine about the game a lot and tout Lost Ark garbage, yes, I'd rather they just leave.

I stopped playin LA Russia after 2 months, due to the massive P2W aspect.  I also won't be playing LA NA because I know where that boat will go as well.
