Good job PA you killed succ. What happened to fine tuning? I agree the damage nerfs were needed but the patch today destroyed sage's survivability and hindered PVE massively. (17 second cd on finishing touch?????????)

 

At least add forward guards to all the slow skills that have no protection now since you took away the iframe which made them viable. 

 

Or give back the damage and just keep the class a glass cannon.

It was just released the k/d is going to be skewed. Small changes. Not class ruining.

Sage is so unprotected now that there is no Iframes the same orcs and cultists I been farming for months hit like Oluns mobs. 

 

Fix PVP to nerf PVE.

Yeah my bad. I meant the changes should not be class ruining. This is definitely class ruining.

250% more damage is not just skewed, not small changes needed but huge. what do u want, "only" twice as good as everyone else? come on lol.

 

you know what i would expect k/d to be at start of class release? it should be worse than all others, and slowly get equal when people actually learned the class. when you think a day 1 class should right away outperform all others, that says everything.

Yeah, 2.5 better then all other classes INCLUDING Succ Wiz does say a lot. Riftchain nerf and damage nerf was necessary...however at least Ators Mark or Spatial should have FG for entire cast to compensate. I don't have issues against the class, and play the Awakening kit more. I still do fairly well in PVP in Succ and the nerfs were just released today...not seeing how it's game breaking. I can't get 8 to 10 kill streaks in RBF anymore...now it's like 3 to 4. Def not as easy to play as it was and requires much more caution then before. Luckily he has Q-block and FG Skills to pretty much continuously move and attack while protected a majority of the time. FOTM players won't be happy though...a class when released should still be in the exploratory categories...to top frag bypassing the need to explore and theory craft is game breaking. It took 5 hours to learn to Succ Wiz and top frag...half that when you have spammable iframes. Node's shouldn't literally Shift the entire meta for a single class to counter like we've had to for wiz witch ever again.

It is good that they nerfed him in Largescale PvP (it was broken indeed), but they pretty much destroyed the class with the nerfs in both 1vs1 PvP and Endgame PvE.

In 1vs1: Even if you CC someone you can not kill him because the cast times are just way too long and he does not do the damage anymore.

In PvE: Slow, squishy and little sustain to round it up.

 

While Finishing Touch is on its 17 seconds cd there is no reason to use Spatial Collapse at all because the casting animation is too long and does not enough damage to compensate this. Ators Energy + Atomagia is one of the few super armor skills but they take ages to cast and have little damage (Atomagia has a large cd of 40 seconds on top of that too). Void Gate does good damage but is unprotected with a windup animation thus it is risky to use. Same goes for Spatial Fissure and Illusion Expension + Flow. Really the only 3 skills that are somewhat good are Ators Fist because it has decent damage and casts fast, Ators Mark for the same reason and Form Shift + Flow because it has SA and good damage.

Rift Chains iframe was the only factor that compensated the lack of protected skills, but with the new change succession is just risky to play in PvE. For some reason there is character collision if you use Rift Chain while it is on cd. Was annoying before the patch but now you are pretty much dead if you get stuck in mobs at orcs or bloody monastary (hell even on altar imps I died yesterday because of that with 330+ dp).

 

I switched to awakening now because it is at least somewhat playable and makes more fun but it also has its own weaknesses (completly useless in large scale PvP for example).

from nw numbers sages are way more balanced now and in line with other classes. it will probably be a bit better even when they learn not to SA rift through a blob but stay on the sides..

I dont think any of those changes were necessary. Just adding split dmg and even a dmg nerf on massive pvp would help a lot without killing the core of the class and affect pve. I hate that i have to pay for massive pvp when i dont even do it and i feel totally scammed by this changes on the rift chain. Like succ is already really short and unprotected out of the rift chain its like you get  sorc and put a cd on her blink and sa on it you basically kill the class. Adding split dmg and damage nerf in general would be the correct thing to do.
