Black Desert will begin in a moment.

Install the Black Desert Launcher if the game doesn't start.

Install the Black Desert Launcher to start the game.

The launcher will appear if it's installed.
If it doesn't, try to run your downloaded launcher.

Install Guide

1 Run BlackDesert_Installer_NAEU.exe to install the Black Desert launcher.

2 Start the game once installation is complete.

So I was logged in and playing BDO and went to kill Agrakhan. My problem arose with the gate keeper also located at Agrakhan's spawn location. When i killed Agrakhan, the gate keeper killed me. Trying to save xp using the event resurection items. I tried to get up and run away. Proceeded to die 4 times instantly before i could move. At that point, I gave in and tried to respawn at town or nearest safe zone. Clicking either of those options did nothing for me. I could only respawn with elixirs. Not knowing what else to do since i was trapped in an endless death loop. I closed BDO through window's task manager. Hoping that when i re-load the game. It would allow me to choose one of the other two respawn options. Upon starting the game now. When i get to the pre-game menue update screen. It says the client is already running and gives me only two options. Refresh and Error Report. I've since, restarted my computer. Re-downloaded BDO. Verified game files through steam as it is the game client i play through. I have checked for pc updates. Even rebooted my home router in case there is anything on my end that might have an attachment that says I am still in game. After all of this, I still recieve the same error upon booting the game. I've checked with steam to see that it does say im not playing the game or logged in elsewhere prior to starting it. There is nothing i can see in my task manager that says BDO is running. I've even had other friends still in game look to see my account status, and it says I am not online. Anyone have any idea of another resolution besides waiting for an error report to come through? Or will i be stuck until next update when all the servers boot everyone and update?

You might be stuck and need assistance from a GM to get unstuck. To get in touch with a GM, open a support ticket from this link:

You gotta be patient since support response time is rather high these days.

 

When opening the ticket, don't forget to fully describe your issue and also all the tourbleshooting steps you already went through in order for GM to more easily help you.

Inquiry also sent. Seems I have done all I can then. Will be waiting for the resolution. Truely thankfull for your imput on this.
