Title: Revive The Old Moon Grand Prix
Family Name: Metaxa
Region (NA/EU): NA
The Old Moon Grand Prix is almost completely dead and needs to be adjusted to encourage more players to use it again. Here are some issues and suggestions I've come up with, and hopefully something good comes out of this. The main focus and hope of this topic, is to revive the Grand Prix and accommodate those that still participate, those that would like to participate and those that try to but fail due to the reasons stated below.
Here are a few of the many issues that players face on a daily basis, espacially those who live outside NA time zones.
HERE ARE A FEW ISSUES THAT NEED TO BE ADDRESSED;
~ Time Zone - This inhibits those from other time zones the ability to participate in the Grand Prix due to lack of the minimum player requirement, and contributes to other issue stated below.
~ Entry-Time Restrictions - This inhibits a lot of players from being able to actually participate in this activity.
~ Minimum Requirements - In a perfect world, there would be a reasonable amount of players racing during all time zones and finding 4 other players wouldn't be an issue, unfortunately this isn't the case. These requirements actually make it difficult for those living outside the NA time zones, resulting in ALL Non-NA players from having to deal with a completely dead Grand Prix on a daily basis. We'd like the opportunity to engage in this content and be able to complete our Daily and Weekly quests too!!
~ Status Window - Unlike RBF (Red Battlefield), we don't have a Status Window allowing us to check if there are others waiting to race. This adds to the frustration and difficulty of finding participants, as we could very well be passing each other by as we enter and leave in search of other players.
HERE ARE A FEW SUGGESTIONS:
~ Remove Entry-Time Restrictions - This isn't Arena of Solare, and should be accessable at any time by any player. This inhibits those living outside the U.S. the ability to participate in the Grand Prix as it's no longer accessable while closed. Remove the time restriction, just as RBF has no time restrictions, and allow players to engage in this content, which is an activity that's meant to be used.
~ Minimum Requirements - Reduce the minimum requirements to start a race from 5 to 3 participants, to accommodate all time zones and to encourage players to join this content. This will also make it a lot easier for those who struggle to find other players to complete Daily and Weekly quests.
~ Reduce Timer to Begin Races - Adjust the start race timer to accommodate the 3 player minimum, from a 5 minute wait to 3 minutes.
~ Daily Solo Race - Incorporate a Daily Solo Race to give players a chance at obtaining Grand Prix Coins, as a way to assist in the completion of their Daily and Weekly quests. This daily solo race will NOT contribute to their Rankings, you will NOT obtain any Trophy and you will NOT obtain any Grand Prix Participant Certificate, this is PURELY for Grand Prix Coins, as a means to assist those who are unable to race due to the issues stated in points above, but not limited to. All players will be allowed 1 Solo Race a day, from a course of their choosing. Completion of any course will result in the completion of the Daily Solo Race and 24 Grand Prix Coins will be rewarded. Players are still encouraged to participate in the Grand Prix races as per normal, as this is not intended to be a complete handout of coins, but an assist towards completing your Daily or Weekly quests. You will still need to obtain coins through normal means in order to complete all Daily and Weekly quests, so keep this in mind.
~ Remove Collision Between Players - When you add all the negative elements of playing online, coupled together with colliding into other players in the Grand Prix, it can become quite vexing. This is an unnecessary feature to have during the Grand Prix, not to mention in the game as a whole, as people are already dealing with other annoyances including but not limited to, High Ping, Lag Spikes, Instance and or Map Reloading etc. This feature definitely needs to be removed from the Grand Prix, and I know there are a lot of others out there that would agree with this bit.
~ I See You!!! :D - Like RBF, having the ability to see others in an instance helps tremendously, as it eliminates the time wasted from searching. Either incorporate a Queue function or add a Status window, allowing players to see what courses other players are in, which in turn will help consolidate scattered players and possibly reduce the effects of the issues stated above, but of course not limited to.
Thanks!

Such a constructive input as usual. While managing to claim bullshit such as bUt I pRoViDe FeEdBaCk.
The handicap is too strong and kicks in too early when you fall even a single meter behind. This combined to the janky and extremely unpredictable collisions make any competitive aspect of this game mode a joke.
Since I don't think the collisions can be fixed, they should just be removed. And the handicap, if not completely removed, should kick in much later when you are clearly and hopelessly behind the race leader, not before.
I don't know how they can adress the lack of people but unpredictable collisions and overtuned handicap don't help for sure. It's so frustrating.
Lets see this as what it is, it is supposed to be a bone for players as in "we did something"
They will never update or change it, cuz that would mean some1 had a bad idea oh nooooes

Yeah, pretty much this. Pointless feature, so they can boast about "we also have this". They did lock event rewards behind it, people afk'd it out, and after the event ended noone went there /surprised face...
Don't worry guys , PA will just take it down for "rework" just like they did with Savage rift and Altar of Blood. Oh wait those 2 gone.
This made me laugh. It's sad but true though, but hopefully this doesn't happen to the Grand Prix. I'd like to get back into it for some horse mats, but we'll see what'll happen. Sooner than later, hopefully.
