Issue with Frontal Guard and Guard mechanic

The guard radius needs to be improved. It's kind of dumb to get CC for the side & register as back attack. The guard & frontal guard should cover more radius. It's problematic for melee class, cause high range classes are less likely to run into this problem. They have a lead advantage to exploit the Guard & Frontal Guard.


Also guard melt too quick in many situation. Ranged classes can easily abuse this by all targeting the same player. At 300ms you basically click your button & you die.  Screen & GFX setting has input delay. The only way to survive is to stay far away or to iframe. 

Guarding mechanic should be more reliable. As of right now, it seems people get trolled with all the high range meta class.

They are currently rather glitchy due to the shit engine bdo has. I doubt they will ever fix it tbh.

Currently the positions of the caracters not properly syncronized and others see your/their character at a different location as the servers can't keep up with fast movement. This makes it seems like it was passing FG, but in reality it ain't.

 

In melee it's like 50-50 chance that FG will work or glitch atm. No wonder why SA classes are stronger than shit melee classes with FG...

Nah, the attack really did comes at over 90 degree starting from the front. Anything above that is registered as back attack. Ninja, Lahn. Witch & Wizard often use this tactic to CC others.

Frontal Guard skill should have over 180 degree of protection. Human vision has a radius of 220 degree(110 degree starting from the front). We can turn our head while looking. Landing back attack from the side is not realistic.

Yep yep. Keeping in mind that the game can't keep up with all the players positions, desync happens and stuff, Front guard needs to be more forgiving. A wider guard range would really help to mitigate a lot of inconsistencies with fast paced PVP.

Oh gosh, Here I thought this was going to be a thread pointing out how powerful FG is, and how over powered 360 SA FG is.  I didn't expect a request for FG to be buffed.  

 

180 degree FG is fine, in fact I would go so far as to say 120 degree is the only amount FG should cover.  The gap between block and FG should just be an unmodified attack so 120 in the front can be blocked, 120 in the back is a back attack and the space between FG and Back Attack should be unmodified.  But for simplicity sake, BDO has elected 180 FG and 180 Back attack.

Also, Protected Skill have gaps. There's a little gap at the beginning of the protected skill. There's also the desync to consider.
Having an increase of frontal guard of 220 degree should makes the game feel more natural to play based on data.

Your FG being depeted in 329 ms is because you face tanked damage from 5+ sources, good job you got caught as a gearlet in the open vs many people with vastly superior gear.  This isn't a game problem this is a player problem, you failed to be a rat and got punished for it.

 

At best, you have made the case for there being GS brackets in RBF.  Your FG got deleted because of the fact that you A don't have enough DP, and B don't have enough HP, both of those things make our FG last longer.  Stop using the +Crit addon to your Rings, stop using Pen Capotia/Tet Cresents and get Ruins rings instead, Stop being an AP monkey and work on your DP, and for the love of all that is holy, stop trying to face tank the entire enemy team.

300m for the HP cup on the necklace, farm out the HP rings, you have the gear for it.  Also I do believe that I mentioned " stop using Pen Capotia/Tet Cresents and get Ruins rings instead"  Thank you for proving my point.  Did you even do the HP journal?  I guess I should add, get a Tet Voltara belt instead of the Capotia belt.  Your Block will last a lot longer doing that.

Also I find it funny that you would use a Narc in PvP, that won't actually make you any tankier, it just gives you prettier numbers.  You went into RBF with a PvE build and wonder why you got blown up?

 

Looking further 11 of that DP is fake DP because you are using a Kutum while running a DR Hypbrid build.  Just use Nouver you lose 2 DR the evasion is useless and you gain 10 AP from just Tet.

 

Swap the Fiery to Dande, and put 2x Han Hooms in there instead you get more HP than what you get for putting it in your offhand.  OMG.
