I love the class, but every day i get sicker of playing it.
You would think a slow casting low mobility class would do dmg ?
HAHA jokes on you the class actually is a joke dmg wise and relys on SA and FG to stay alive. Unlucky that there are grabs in the game or skills that cc you right through ur FG
too many classes out there u cant even cc bc of superarmor blocks nad i frame spam.
The class is absolutely garbage in anything other than largescale bc outside of casting range and ur two sa skills the class doesnt do shit.
Ohh yeah right the class is a healbot and PA caster i guess that makes up for not beeing able to be a real class by itself.
This class can not combo ppl bc the cc it relys on is so very slow and also unreliable, it also just couldnt be there and noone would notice.
This class cant win any 1v1 against a grab class you will absolutely lose every single 1v1 if you dont outgear him so badly that he dies while catching up to you. There is no mechanic that helps u against that since the only i frame u have is also ur only mobility spell and ppl still grab you out of it. Idk but the two outcomes that either i basicly have to oneshot him or he grabs me and kills me seems kinda shitty on both sides.
Also every single matchup u are playing against a class with a SA-Block Witches also can not win(those also tend to have grabs). There is 0 counterplay to sa-blockclasses as a Witch u can litterally stand there cast 2-3 whole spell rotations and the Guardian/Warrior/Nova/Valk will not give a shit and just dash away a few inches out of your spellrange cast 1-2 sa spell and is full block again. Great i love this.

Playing this class outside of Nodewar is a horrible experience and even in nodewar there are better options than Awa Witch if you want to play a caster there.
I can not recommand to anyone to play this class for aanything other that isnt NW wich is propably about 40 mins a day if lucky.
This class still is in need of alot of buffs/gameplay changes bc i honestly thing that just buffing it will not fix any of the problems that it has.


Dont get me wrong i like playing "underdog"classes that might have it harder but in this game it gets to the point where you are just that handycapped with this class that most of the fights u will have u wont even have a fair chance of "winning".

Tons of classes with SA-Blocks, Grabs, tons of mobility and very high and fast Burst dmg are the very norm in this game and while i dont think that this is necessarily a problem overall, for a class that has very little mobility, is slow, doesnt have a grab or any other mechanic to play against overprotected classes, isnt even overprotected itself besides having low mobility (down to argue about that why i believe that to be true) and doesnt do "enough" dmg to compensate for the slow casting times. The class just feels incredibly outdated and just not able to compete by itself may it be seen in 1v1 for contesting a spot or grinding.

I reall dont want this class to be the best in everything i just want a fair chance of actually holding a spot or doing just fun 1v1s with a fair chance of winning.
This is also a bit of a rant due to the frustration playing this class puts on me.

And to also to not only cry and whine about how unfair the game is id like to also put some of my ideas of changes for the class here.

The Shift+A/D/S should be an i frame.

If we dont get any more mobility id like to see some more SA skills maybe make Ghorroll something like an SA-Block ? or make Equilibrium SA.

Since there are SA-Block classes out there and the class does not have a grab or other mechanic to do anything against that maybe we can have the Pet deal extra dmg to Blocks ? this might sounds brocken at first sight but i dont think it actually would be that good but it might help to even have a chance against those classes. Since this would only apply to the pet itself and the 4 skills where it also casts the flow this does not apply to any real ranged skill besides the ranged pets auto attacking.

I really would like to have the Petscaling it feels just like a scam to have skills that only account for a third of my ap take the accurracy from it idc but make it use MY AP.

The one thing id really like to see on this class is 1 protected mobility spell or split tp since every class out there even if we get this 1 spell would still double down on the amount of mobility spells. Just to keep the class a littel more mobile then it is rn.

Maybe also beeing able cancel casts with tp ? or other mobility ?

Why again did we lose the SA on Meteor ? btw succession casters are now using the focus meteor wich is fully FG xD so this nerf hit awakening casters more than it did the successin ones thanks for that PA . Really loved that, felt like a punch to the guts.

I honestly would like to see the whole Mainhand tree reworked in order to make it more funktional. But that might be too much to ask.

Idk who wrote this but i saw this on the forums to give the petflows ccs on the last hit to make em a counterplay for grabs. i really liked that idea since it still needs to be casted in advance wich allows for mindgames on both sides.


Also pls increase the overall mana.

I feel you bro, i gave up on pvp part, cuz awe witch was always a laughing stock since the start. Yes yes I know at the release of awe she had some bonkers numbers (so i've heard) but she was always WAY worse wizard, simple facts. Now Succ wiz<Succ Witch<AWE Wiz <Awe Witch, shocking :/

But in pve i suffer just the same, every day I am thinking, how much faster and easier would it be to just grind with a guardian. I already witnessed that guardian grins suuuuper chill and is easy on fingers. Deep down I just don't wanna know. I made myself this BS goal of reaching 63 on witch b4 I considering rerolling so 50% more to go :/

 

I don't have any hope for awe witch, shes always below avg ( I started her somewhat after mediah). The only reason I still play her is cuz its my 1st character and well, copium. And those "buffs" she received, I don't even feel any difference, we didn't lack crit hits?

at this point both awa casters need iframe on magical evasion instead of SA AND their teleport to animation cancel their awaken kit.

I yes crit was something the class does not have outside of petflows and thunderstorm atleast we have it now for PvE wich actually helps unlike the other buffs its somewhat noticeable on elvia spots.

Ye but actually duelling for spots ? or fighting back when getting ganked ? nope not a chance bc ppl that do gank usually play classes that can do that very well.

like i said i dont think that just those 2 changes would really change anything for the smallscale/1v1 part.
Awa casters kinda need a mini rework or something.

A recent suggestion that I've been liking recently was to switch out the heal between Shai and Mages. Mages mostly have instant heals while Shai have the Heal Over Time sort of heals.

(In any case, after a short inspection of Shai skills, they do seem tohave numerous flat heals with the 3rd rabam already.)

Still, it'd be worthwhile to nerf the stackable nature of the Witch or Wizard heals by converting them into non-stackable Heals over Time.

So this would nerf the class in large-scale (2 witch or wizard can't just double dip the heal) , and buff it in small scale where HoT are valuable even while being CCed, or interrupted.

I could imagine something like that:

Healing Aura keeps the usual instant heal.
Healing Lighthouse mana cost removed. Heal ticks out of the window. 30 seconds of 400 HP and 150 MP recovered per 3 seconds.
Rabam Heal is the same as this new lighthouse except that it's a super armor.

this would kill all non dp build casters to the ground even more. 

if u want to nerf heals u do it so that they give less heal to allies and in return give casters more options to be real standalone class. hell, they should even make speed spell personal and give us more ways to be independant class.
