Hey. just uninstalled bdo cuz wendsday mornings is basically the only time when ive got some time to play but instead of doing the maitenance in the middle of the night like every other company u are doing it during half of the day?? what?

If you can only pay this game for those few hours in one day of they week ... BDO isn't the best game for you, as it takes a lot of time to get anywhere.

Well, for the US at least, they do do the maintenance in the middle of the night, and they're doing maintenance at the same time that Kakao was doing it before and had done for quite some time. They picked the middle of the week when players are least likely to have a holiday and be looking to play late, and they picked the middle of the night in the US, when the vast majority of the NA players would be asleep. So, as far as NA goes, they do maintenance at pretty much the optimal time.

That being said, for whatever reason, they seem to do the maintanence for the EU servers at the same time as the NA servers, which obviously isn't great for the folks in Europe. So, I guess that you're in Europe? Presumably, it's easier for them that way, but treating NA and EU as completely separate would fix that issue. I'm not sure why the NA and EU stuff is handled together when they seem to handle other regions separately. Maybe it's a historical thing having to do with Kakao.

Regardless, as Simon771 points out, if you can only play a few hours a week, this game will likely ultimately be frustrating for you anyway, because - for better or worse - it's very much designed with the idea that you will be playing it a lot. So, while I certainly feel for you if you can't play the game due to scheduling issues, you'll probably be happier playing a different game anyway.

The reason for this is simple, NA/EU are always on the same patch notes.  Since you can remotely log into the servers to apply patches, it is likely that 1 person, when they get up in the morning is doing patches on both NA and EU servers at the same time, so what is being asked is that the person doing the patches (who likely lives in EU) is supposed to wake up at 1AM once a week to do patches and then the rest of the week wake up and go to work at 9AM instead, so that some self entitled crybaby is able to play durring the day instead of working or attending school. 

NA just gets "lucky" they don't have to patch mid day, but the problem is (for me) that on patch day if the servers come up even 10 minutes late I can't log in and set my character on a training dummy before I go to work..

would be much better, if they make maintenance not at day-time, where still many people play actively.. just make maintenance between 5AM and 9AM.. would be perfect for many people in EU.. and NA is the only region which is connected to EU servers or whatsoever, while SEA is doing their own stuff anyways.. seeing that in releasing features 2 weeks already earlier than in NA/EU.
