Let's talk about Illezra.

First of all, for those that don't play the story and / or skipped the cutscene in the beginning, let's answer the question:

Who is she?

Well, obviously the best girl, duh. Illezra is the first NPC we see after creating our characters, instantly you will know, she means business.

You will also see and hear about her throughout the Main Story, learning about her past, her evil-doings and plans,

you will be even defeating some of her followers.

While she is not just part of the Main Story, she is also involved in most Class Succession quests.

Sooo what's her story?

She was the first "main-antagonist" in the story which is why her involvment in the story is pretty big.

While it's unknown where she was born, she has described

Altinova as her first home, which is where she started doing some totally not evil stuff, aber getting injured 

she ended up in front of the town of Tarif and was taken in by Ahon Kirus, the current chief.

Her lust for knowledge eventually led her to get expelled from the village

for delving into forbidden territories (such as forbidden books)

She then returned to the village and raided it with the help of barbarians and other savages.

Through this she had stolen the book of Cartian, a powerful book with which

she started Three Days of Darkness on Mediah and also killing the mediahn royal family.

She also tried to build an undead army, took Kzarkas soul and is also involved 

in Atoraxxion, the upcoming Co-Op Dungeon 

Oh and did I mention she has a Black Spirit!

She's pretty cool, I know.

Why do I like her?

The concept of a "villain" always interested me, in most media the villain is simply evil, but

in Illezras case, we actually in a way, know some of her motivations.

I personally never saw her as an evil individual, she never really presented herself as one either.

She is a woman chasing her dreams, who is also surprisingly acting a lot like a cat.

I have been interested in her since the first cutscene we saw her in and I'm really 

happy that Pearl Abyss decided to add her as an npc we can meet in the game.
