Don't forget, that trolling can come in different ways. Not only on chat.

An option would be to have a dedicated RP server that has both PvE, and PvP disabled. We know PA has the ability to do so, PvE being disabled during NW on x1 channels, and PvP being disabled on Olvia servers.
However I doubt they would do so, especially now that they dedicate 5 of them to season, and 16 to Elvia/Hadum grinding; the RP community is likely too small (especially on EU) to warrant them dedicating yet another channel to something else.

It's a good idea. But from an editor's point of view, it'd mean treating roleplayers differently than the rest of their playerbase. That's usually a red flag for them. Partly because they don't want to have to waste resources on dealing with the outcome of such decisions, often perceived as arbitrary/unfair/etc by the players who don't directly benefit from them.

My guess is that's also why we won't get an officially-labeled RP channel anytime soon. If there were more of us, and if our combined spending represented enough of an incentive... ​things would be different.

We've been begging for more RP options in Guild Wars 2 for years. When they implemented sharding, it pretty much killed the RP community and now there is literally less than a shadow of what there once was. Problem is, ArenaNet doesn't want to isolate a few hundred players, maybe as much as a couple of thousand, when they have they have somewhere in the neighborhood of 14 million monthly logins to think about. It's unfortunate, to be sure, but it's just not a financially sound decision.

That's why RP communities have to come together and try to make it work. They have to be open, honest, welcoming and forgiving of a lot of things. Elitism definitely should not exist in a RP community. We have to close a blind eye to a lot of things, chiefly ERP. I know, we've all been burned, but I can't help thinking of Michael Kane and his flipping Cockney accent in Batman Begins "Why do we fall, Master Wayne. So that we can learn to pick ourselves back up!"

 Can you elaborate this as I may understand it wrong. I do agree that elitism should not exist and because of that, ''we'' have to acknowledge that ERP is literally a sub-category for RPing and while you have every right to dismiss/ignore its content and not participate on it, bashing ERP/ers or seeing them as the ''evil'' of the community is gatekeeping/elitism.

Just for the record, Im not an ERPer, but I do know a fair amount of of ERP/RP hybrids that are just amazing people, and it hurts my soul that people immediately assume they're the ''degenerates'' of the community.
