Are there people that spend insane amounts of money on this game? Yes. And, we thank them for their investments. Obviously its the spenders that keep the game free for the rest of us.
But is it necessary to spend money on the game in order to progress or make meaningful progression? Absolutely not.

how bad is it to p2w? to be really geared you have to spend so much it's not worth doing unless you are super rich irl, ohdear even said in the video, he goes out on weekends to wine and dine or buys luxury goods whenever he feels like it.
also, people need to keep in mind that money takes time to earn in real life as well, there is a reason why he got banned (no time to grind in-game)

in ~5 years and 3 month OP manage to reach 58lvl, arisan 4 processing and 216CP. And start thread about whales.

The level obtained has no bearing on a person's right to question pay to win in this game.

This game is not free to play most of the time and for most older players it cost thirty dollars at least.

I constantly fail to understand this so-called argument in particular.
Just like most F2P-games, BDO (even though it isn't even F2P) is extremely cheaply made and has minimal staff for maintenance etc. on one hand and is extremely overpriced and greedy on the other hand. The game easily makes exponentially more money than would be necessary. Whales only make the game worse due to P2W-focused game design.
