It's an open bar in that a level60 sage can get in withouy the key. Tag an alt to your main if the sage is not your main.
Don't even need to do that, Sage is so broken that Capotia w/ Tet Kutum and Oasis can farm there easily. So you can just park an Alt there.
As they release more Elvia grinding spots and high tier zones where mobs can kill you if you afk for a few seconds, and more "Extreme" World Bosses are released, PA should consider removing crystal Destruction upon death.
I mean, here I am, 344 DP on a Elvia Grinding spot where my HP is almost always 100%,( Bloody Monastery, Red Orcs) but if the internet gets a small hiccup, it results in a JIN Viper gone or worse. I don't mind paying for Elion tears for the exp loss. But those Crystals cost a lot and it deters ppl from grinding in those spots.
I have always avoided content that risks my crystals ever since I lost crystals to lag (that was a result of the server host at the time) and support told me they are not accountable for any in-game goods lost from service disruption. This varies from what i've heard from others getting reimbursed, but this is the support I recieve. As a result, I have not touched any of the new grinding content released in the last few years and have not bothered to pursue blackstar gear because the monster damage is not necessary for where I make money. Crystal breakage is the sole reason I have not touched any of the new pve zones, is the sole reason I do not attend the new world bosses with my main, and was the sole reason I avoided the desert until the removal of the desert debuff as I have ADD and support will not reimburse me from getting distracted due to my disability. It is a terrible design. I can tolerate financial and time loss from gear enhancement because it is voluntary, but crystal breakage is not always as a result of user mistake. There is no insurance so I do not invest.
Regardless of anyone's views on this. It should be looked at, crystals and death in the game are a LOT different from when this mechanism was put in. It does seem out of balance, the damage that a lag spike can do to a player in some of these high areas. Doens't matter how good you are or how geared, one slip or a lag spike and it can hurt,
The EXP loos is no big deal as you can protect against it. Crystal loss however is overly punitive and outside of the player's control.
(how reliable is the trade item breaking first?)
(how reliable is the trade item breaking first?)
I haven't actively tested this but over the years, I would say that 9 times out of 10 when I had trade items in my bag they broke instead of my crystals.
Its shity when it happens but tbh if you happen to dc alot or have desync or something than it may be something on your end?
Removing breaking of crystals would make them wortlhless, so they would have to introduce something to make them worth again.
What i can agree on 100% tho is that they should remove breaking crystals on bosses.
1 shot mechanics are bad, coliding with ppl who you cant see and thus dieing in the process is retarded, or atleast remove fucking colision on the bosses.
I mean nowadays its just stupid to bring your main on bosses like TC kutum, where if i die several time i could lose over a bilion in crystals and rewards are underwhelming.
Just cause of the collision i havent done bosses in months lol.

This topic is 46 posts long already and none of the cristal break removal apologists managed to provide any viable economic alternative regarding the crystak market.

Yup, crystal not breaking will kill so many stuff .Not just crystals but all stuff related to crystal makeing.
Kratuga gets worse since elkars would be crap, forest fury goes from po to worthless, training for vipers gets even worse then it is etc etc...
Its just not that plain and simple as ppl think it is.
Now that a BiS crystal preset is worth up to 4 bil, i beleive it is time to either:
1) decrease the chance of crystals breaking dramatically
OR
2) delete the chance all together
I say this as the BiS crystal build is 4 bil roughly, that means that if you die you have a chance to lose a crystal that is upwards to 1.4 bil. That is more the 2 hours of grinding in the majority of places. If grinding sulfur mines that is 4 hours of grinding. If grinding hystria that is 3.5 hours. If grinding centaurs on a correct class 1.5-3 hours depedning on buffs. I am thinking about this logically from a standpoint for new players. A new player will not want to buy all the BiS content just for them to have a chance of breaking and having to spend another full day of gameplay just to recoup losses. This will push new players out, that is why I personally was surprised when they stated they increased crystal prices in the market place. Essentially this is in the end, a set back mechanic. I personally would never in my right mind buy this 4 bil setup so its no skin off my back, but still.
