Sol thing, yes is bullshit.
Rest is made up bullshit, your guildies tell you, you either dp shai or other character has nothing to do with devs fixing a class.
Alright, explain this in a logical fashion?
Shai dont need Elvia stuff?
How exactly is a DP shai going to attain those things?

it's your opinion, not a fact. Shai is intended to be a non-martial support classe specialized in Lifeskill.
Shai uses Florang, a giant boomerang, as her main weapon for combat. An alchemical sub-weapon, Vitclari, is used to protect herself and allies. Due to her small size, she is fast and nimble when evading and attacking enemies. Specializing in life skills, Shai starts off with Professional levels in Alchemy and Gathering. Source.
Also shai was originally supposed to only be able to mount a Donkey. And the Donkey Krogdalo gear give

I much prefer that the devs keep their original ideas with the shai and buff in the intended design direction.
It must be an ultra efficient game changing support(its currently the case) and be a lifeskill class.( <- this part need work)
His solo Grinding MUST be mediocre.

The "not a combat class" specifically refers to pvp. The translations on the whole ball were all over the place, most of the lore related stuff was retconned not long after...
Shai isnt meant to frag in pvp, which is fine. We're meant to support. I don't think anyone really has a problem with that. Doesnt mean we should be helpless pushovers either.
The Donkey gear isnt and was never shai specific.
Shai isnt a lifeskill class and has never been a life skill class. At some very early, pre-release point that was the intent. It was scraped, because it was stupid.
You can NOT make a "lifeskill" class in this game... it would hurt every class and players experience, including shai players.
5% gathering exp, while being the worst gatherer in the game due to poor mobility, it doesnt even put us on par with other normal classes... actual meme
300% combat exp from gathering/alch... giga meme. An ENTIRE supreme tool doesnt even add up to 1 mob. It would have to be 30,000% to be worth anything.... giga meme
5% alchemy is pog, but also super minor.
If you those were supposed to be what makes us a life skill class, youre actually delusional. Theyre all basically worthless passives ANY long time shai would give up without a second thought. (And weve been asking for that, going on 2 years now)
We play the game just like everyone else. We grind, we pvp, we lifeskill
90% of pve is solo, its a sad fact. Were the worst solo grinder in the game, by a lot.
Shai in group content is still struggling, our buffs are weak and the good ones are hard gated by cooldowns or rank lockouts. The only thing that ever made Shai "OP" was an exploit, that was removed months and months ago. Were hanging on mostly by reputation and how our buffs effect super (over)geared players.
As mentioned, were the worst gatherer in the game. We have poor mobility, worthless vacuum, and no standout features.
I.E. we make the least money per hour/day of pretty much any class
On top of that, were forced into building multiple gear sets if we want to Node War.... Not becuase we want to, because we have to. AP for pve, DP for NW, and Manos if we life.
If you think thats a good and fair state of affairs.... then wow...............

All they have to do is give them a toogle that increases their AP at the cost of DP or increases their AP at the cost of DP. There would have to be a trade off. For example the toggle gives +150 DP but - 150 AP etc. Another possible solution would be to give them a skill that increases monster damage based upon a % of their DP. I believe L2 healers eventually got stance skills so they could solo better without having to get mage gear. A concept similar to that would work.
a simpler and less convuluted way, just buff shai's innate defensives/protections/effective damage JUST enough to where we can get away with running hybrid gear in NW/siege.
Condense us down to 1 set... Maybe a off piece or 2 specifically for NW, up to player preference.

This would be great! And make the Sol Taggable to be like a C1 Dande or something if we want to tag another class

I moved my assets into lifeskill retirement. I sold my shai ap build, I was 291 349.
This is probably for the best because developers don't give a fuck about the shai.
I've decided to just chop wood and fish, after all, it produces about 180m more per hour than grinding on shai.

I just put my Armor and Accessories on a different character, and waiting for all the DP items, blackstar weapon, rosar, and kutum to sell. (no need to waste exchange coupons on a tet blackstar to me, when I need caphras for accuracy)
The one thing that did catch my eye is ranked pvp coming, so I gotta find a class to do that on.
But agreed its very very sad that we have to make decisions.
If we want to PVP
1. Re-roll
If we want to grind better
1. Re-roll
If we want to just lifeskill only
- Sell everything and get tet manos full set (The same as any other class mind you)
That is the only option for Shai right now, which is not a unique option or anything special really.
The only thing Shai is great at is Speed Buffing sprints through towns.
This was hidden by admin due to the reports it has received.
