This post based on high end game playing, where t2+ Node Wars, Elvia grinding are the main content.  PA has to do something about this, its absolutely unfair for Shai players.

I do not need to go through several issues that Shai has regarding weak performance, this is simply focusing on the amount of silver needed to main shai at high end game content. There are really good ideas on the Shai discord if the dev's want feedback from alot of the AoA combatants regarding specific class changes, I am more focused on the amount of silver needed to make a high end Shai.  

Firstly, we need to tap our own Pen Artina Sol.  Lucky people can get it around 125 stacks but there are many many people who have several 200+ stacks just tryin to create this thing which cannot be purchased..  (est cost 5bil - 30bil +)

For PVP content, T2, Seige guilds will want Shai to run DP gear to live longer and do the good ole buffs and debuffs.  Besides Node Wars this set of gear is mostly useless. 

So we have to invest our time to buy/create at least TET Ethereal Earrings (8b x2), TET Centarus Belt (2.5b x1), TET River Moon Necklace (5b x 1), and TET Cadry (2b x2) or (Tap Pen Hesus), Pen Rosar subweapon c13 (15b), Resplidant Alchemy Defense stone (2-3b) So Shai will need to spend around 45 bils to have a good DP set for Node Wars. 

Then we have consumable buffs like perfume of charm that is about 8 million each (this is 100% required to be effective in Seige / T2 T3) as evasion

This gear we would never use in end game PVE content.

No other class has this cost of entry, they just swap kutum to nouver or just stay one sub weapon and play.

Then we also need to have a PVE or "AP" set that can hit the 281 AP bracket 360+ DP for the higher end Elvia (orcs, bloody monestary) like everyone else.

Some Shai choose to tag a fast grinder for PVE grinds but since our Pen Artina Sol does not convert to a Dande, we also have to buy a TeT blackstar or Pen Dande for the tagged character (another 11-14 Bil cost)

So my point is this Shai cost easily 60 billion more than any class to be viable in both PVP and PVE content, mainly because we have to maintain 2 seperate sets of gear to play effectively and need 2 weapons for awaken/talent slot even if we tag.

Can we just give shai some more protections or some sorta of passive so we dont need to have DP gear? or something that will balance this out such as letting Artina sol convert to Dande? etc.

I dont know if the Dev's even care about Shai, i mean we cant even open alot of costume boxes. 

But that bieng said, PA please do something about this to level the playing field and make Shai a competitive class

Shai is not a martial classe.
AoA Shai fight are just a meme nothing else.  you must stop taking things seriously.

you play differently depending on the class. the shai is not a grinder solo. your AP is less important when your job is to double the dps of the other 2 players.
Not to mention that the grind is not mandatory. you can make your billions in lifeskill easly.


There is always a downside to playing an X class. That's what makes a class. The advantages and disadvantages.

It is better to emphasize the benefits rather than wanting to be like everyone else.



150 Mastery is worth 60 billion. ( Manos pen jewel).

Easy fix, while preserving the original idea about Shai. the exp boost is clearly to be renew too. 300% It is not much. A zero is clearly missing.

I like the mastery idea, but it would have to be gated behind levels like level 62, 63 etc so that people actually have to work for it.

Regarding your other comments, if Shai is not intended to participate in combat they why give them weapons at all? Why not make it a class that can ONLY lifeskill? 

So while I know where your going with this especially based on what has been said by the dev's regarding the intention for Shai as a class, intentions and reality dont always match up. 

If Shai is not intended to participate in node wars, seige etc, then why can they even Yes up?

Shai is the most expensive class for end game BDO content, there is no denying that.

Also they are the weakest.. and gives the players the least rewards for the most work.

Imagine calling budget DP gear endgame gear, then complaining about how expensive it is, lol.

Surely you ain't build distros with your shai, right? There, you already saved that 40B...

+1.  I do not play Shai.  But am in full support of fair treatment for Shai.  Not being able to purchse Awakening weapon is pretty huge difference.  IDK if giving her a passive so she doesn't need DP gear is the right play.  But would like to see Shai treated more fairly.

puh u opens a can of worms here....but that is what I try to tell others. playing shai is expensive. Sure...overall Shai DP gear is cheaper than a AP build. But in high end content (talking sieges here) u need full pen armor, C10 Caphras more likely C20, Pen Offhand, Pen Sol (that will be absolut useless if u ever reroll even if it needed ur high FS like any other Pen Dandi would cause u cant reroll it for some damn reason), pen belt, yet etherial earrings (they are pretty cheap) pen hesus rings (costs tears and failstacks mostly) and at least a Tet River Neck.
Most likely u will never be able to buy some of the dp accessories anyway. Pen Rivers, Pen Etherials, almost never sold. So you need to click them urself and most don't make it under market value...not even close. I would kill for the opportunity to buy a pen river for 120b....
Is this cheaper than AP gear on the same level? For sure!

BUT then u need a second set: Bhegs for grinding too, a blackstar weapon and in some cases other armor parts cause of different crystal setups. U need a Kutum and a Vell....and at least get ap accessories to grind on places like Elvia (and still get most likely less than other classes with same gear)

And yes, we can go the lifeskiller route. Then u need tet Clothes for a few lifeskills, at least tet Tools and tri manos accessories...also pretty expensive if u like to go for something equally ppl make with grinding.

And then there is the content u need still ap gear for participating. Getting the Cups for Rings, Neck, Belt (some sell now but it takes forever) the stuff like Kzarka killing quests where u still need to kill him alone the last two stages to get ur permanent AP, a Ton of Quests where u need to kill mobs or beg somebody to help you, getting the Oluns Costum...

I keeped my AP gear from my reroll from Dk to Shai and don't have to much trouble, cause at the same time I lifeskill for a living and my grindgear is good enough to be able to grind the Items I need (but slowly)...but for ppl starting out on Shai its pretty shit to get up two gearsets at the same time without losing out in one department. 

100%  I didnt even go into "BiS" gear just "Starter level" (tet dp accessory etc) ---- if we estimate the entire cost of a max gear shai, considering the PEN DP accessories as well, its WAAAAAAY higher than any class. kudos
