Must say this is my favourite boss, both normal and thundercloud. However, I as well as many other players have noticed there's a certain apathy when it comes to TC Kutum, especially when he spawns at night.

I've noticed he mostly spawns at times when half of the player base is sleeping or afk, which results in some people just half assing the boss. They'll block up the tunnels, making it harder for those who want to fight it. Out the of recent TCs I've been to, they've all despawned due to not enough DPS (damage per second)

Soooo.... My suggestion is to either adjust his spawn time so that TC spawns more often in the day time so everyone gets to kill it OR nerf his health a bit.

I really love this boss fight and I know a lot of others that are frustrated with the current state of TC. It's 30 mins of our time wasted because no one gives a shit to hit more than once.

I get the impression that most people absolutely hate Thundercloud Kutum and have no interest in fighting it. Certainly, the folks in my guild all think that it's cancer. The rewards are garbage, and the fight is absolutely brutal. So, I'd be very surprised if changing the times improved things much. The problem is the boss itself. It took very little time before folks mostly stopped showing up, and Thundercloud starting timing out - and that's when PA was actually providing guaranteed spawn times. I heard that the exact same thing happened in Korea. So, I think that the fact that you actually like Thundercloud Kutum is pretty abnormal. Of course, since most folks clearly do not like the new boss, I would think that PA will do something about it at some point that's a bigger change than mucking with its spawn times (which I suspect are just random anyway), but we'll have to wait and see.

And personally, I wouldn't show up even if its health were a tenth of what it is. The problem is its crazy strong attacks and the stupid gimmick with having to rush into the right room to get rid of the debuff (which usually kills you before you can get into either room anyway).  Maybe it's surivivable if you have really high GS and fight it a bunch to learn its attack patterns, but many of us found it to just be suicide and very quickly stopped bothering. And of course, the special drop is a poor alchemy stone that isn't even rechargeable, so it's not like there's a huge incentive to go for the rewards either. I don't mind Kutum, but I won't touch Thundercloud Kutum with a ten foot pole. Honestly, I'm surprised that all that many people are bothering to attack it once and then hang out, waiting for the timer to expire.

You can heal thru the debuff, its only ~600 per 3. Just need HP on Hit/regen or a valk/shai/wiz friend in Plat

Completely doable in oasis gear (without dieing) with the above. No one wants to platoon for it tho, too lazy I guess.

Suprised to see that people think Thundercloud is the hardest. He doesn't move and 90% of his fight is just standing behind him. You can block most of his attacks (including the lightning balls), and the debuff mechanic gives you a ton of time to get ready (as seen with his animation before he does it).

Maybe if they gave an actual guide so people could see that its not really all that bad instead of a couple of gifs of the abilities on a warrior that has invincibility mode on.

I don't know if they showed this with Karana awakened but an example is the amount of people that get flung off the moutain by her. Its because people literally just don't know that she's about to toss you. Same with her whirlwhind pushback ability that will kill you without a red circle and all you really have to do is stand on her in the middle.

Stuff with like Kzarka is fine except for his vacuum thing he does at the end. You sort of have to just guess the HP he'll use it at or have a highly mobile class, since there's really no ramp up time and it pulls you in without any notice beforehand.

Nouver is actually well telegraphed by himself if I were to separate him from his little sandstorm circles that spawn around him. They appear on the ground and sometimes they either randomly hit you once or they'll pulse for like 5seconds with no real indication. He's also the buggiest having moves land outside his red circles and at certain times will graphically bug out with his blood storm graphic (it doesn't vanish after he uses it sometimes, it just shows the whole fight which means you're fighting in a sandstorm the whole time.)

It good that they had this like 2 weeks of BS spawning for him. To actually let practice happen.

Maybe the best thing to do would be to let people do a fake boss scroll where dying doesn't matter and let people practice the awakened bosses moves.

The fight itself isn't so bad, but it is not worth the rewards of fighting Kutum.

I think this (above) is the most important factor to many. Sadly very few seem to play the game (any game) just for fun anymore.

Thundercloud Kutum I believe is actually the easiest of the four more difficult world bosses; It's attacks are slower, mostly telegraphed and we even get warnings when something important is about to happen. I'm a below average player at best and I find I'm able to fight and survive with most success at Thundercloud Kutum. Additionally the guide they released along with Thundercloud gives a nice overview of the fight, it's just a 5 minute read.

It is certainly the most enjoyable; of course entirely subjective this one, but there are actually a couple of mechanics to the fight other than simply 'avoiding red'. I hope more in future are released with mechanics.

Death is very forgiving: If you die you spawn practically outside, it takes you ~10 s to get back into the fight (if you can push through all the players just standing around clogging up the entrance). Compare this to the couple of minute dash across the desert for Nouver.

Hopefully they improve the reward system. I guess that's the simplest thing they could do to entice more to actually take part:

- So if you stand around you get nothing, or something to the value of 500,000 silver etc. This I think should be done at all bosses.

- Improve the top rewards so there is a valuable item for PvE as well as PvP.

The only thing making this boss hard is people's refuseal to at least search on Youtube how to do this ridiculously easy mechanic. I've seen more difficult bosses in WoW 5 man dungeons harder than this. It's quite simple for those that dont know:

In that boss room theres a circular relic glowing on the wall with 2 rooms, left and right. The left room is blue and the right room and yellow. when you get the blue cloud debuff go into the left (blue) room, when you get the yellow cloud debuff going in the right (yellow) room. dont mix them up or youll put a fatal debuff on you that will definitely end you. outside of that its like every other fight and many other games, dont stand in fire (red circles). dps, heal yourself, and profit.

Yeah the world bosses should be removed and put into instances, so people who like to tryhard can suck on them for the rewards, if they want.

That would be the most fair.

Until they remove 100% death aura, the fight is pointless.
