Just finished listening to PA and the whole stream, something bugs me, and should bother you too.
PA said (TLDR version): We want to lower the entry barrier for newer and current players for them to enjoy pvp, and other content.
PA also said: We are pushing forward new content that might seem unreachable for most, but in time, will provide a challenge for everyone to aim for.
See there's something my bs radar tells me now, since beta days, they got that nasty habit of telling something and the opposite, not giving a clear line where they stand.
And i'm pointing this out because once again, they are playing with these shallow borders, and once again, i got the feeling that half baked features will come up and that will not be "super quality time" for everybody.
As usual, they want everything, payers, fooders, players, tryharders, traitors, leaders, (and if you don't see my point there, well read twice) and that took it's toll for their reputation, PA is a meme generator by now.
Your thoughts ?

And that shouldn't happen, but my point was more about the direction they are taking BDO to, because as i read this, i can't tell if they are really knowing what they are doing or just pushing random ideas plus feedback hoping to hit the jackpot once again.

They have no idea what they are doing, they just was told to make this ball and talk about stuff they don't known.
But that's not new info. This is a PR event, and the main purpose is the free crons anyway.

It dosen't justify anything, MMO's do exist since decades, and proof of concepts are many, thing is in 2021 not being able to stand on a clear line is a major cringe factor in my book.

I mean , it wouldn't be a bad thing if they made the entry level for pvp lower but keep players wanting for more and push to reach that high end pvp . Nowadays nodewars are pretty rough , not many guilds are doing them , rbf is full of overgeared people , ow pvp is the same.
I mean would be nice for people to have some fun while they are grinding for their end game gear , because that's how you keep people in your game , not throwing locked pvp content behind hundreds/thousands of hours of grind.
For sure they(PA) still need to have players push for more gear while they are at it , because that benefits them the most .

I think they are Definetly attempting to make an active change to help players that are not as motivated as others and new players to acheive the ability to play and enjoy content. Lets get one thing straight though these changes are going to come at a price, time and silver is going to have to be invested.
These changes are most definetly breaking down the barrier for players to make it to levels that are competitive within PvP and node war scenes. Like it or not i am sure it will continue until they feel satisfied that a 620ish GS can be obtained within 3-6 months, i am using this GS due to the gear changes in Trial charecters this allows players to be able to test gear needed to at least be competetitive.
Personaly i would not mind PA setting up an area around BA that has mobs from different higher end grind spots to allow players to test in PVE as well i mean the mobs wont drop anything but it would give players the ability to test how it feels.
As far as the majority of the Ball i was well pretty disapointed here is my list,
PA is falling back into the KR gets content 1st again, this was a major hot topic from years past and PA is delusional if they are not paying attention to WHO is exactly footing the bill for BDO. concidering that NA/EU is putting more money into BDO than all other countries combined.
-Node/Siege went live 5+ months ago in KR we are still as of yet NO date on this update and currently they are using KR's input only on this change.
-Test server (Global Labs) They formally seperated KR from all other regions for testing and YET again pretty much DO NOT LISTEN TO ANY INPUT FROM NA/EU. Test server stopped being a test server some time ago and they stop releasing NEW content that needs to be tested and stopped allowing us to contribute to the game itself the half hearted effort they do take remains in pretty much NOTHING localized even though they seperated KR test server from others the language is still Korean.
-Atoraxion again new content that is being withheld and now they extended it yet again for another month
-NA was the 1st to get Sage Yet any class balance or changes went through KR almost 2 weeks prior to us receiving them this included buffs,nerfs to Sage.
-Class Balance i do not understand the the lack of function that is happeneing with these developers they literally conferemed that the class balance we received this time was based ONLY on input from KR and asia regions AGAIN taking zero input and getting these completely idiotic class balances that litterally made everyone scratch there head.
-Majority of the questions taken were KR concerns by a massive 30-50% when most other regions placed those same questions at 1%. These questions had ZERO substance and kept the Dev's safe.
I could continue on and on
Its obvious the content AND Road map from the CalpheON Ball was complete trash none of which was adressed but completely ignored.
Content like
node wars
Server wars
Sheriff system
Bug fixes
Customer service
The list is very long and a lot of players are not happy with PA atm regardless of all the free stuff they gave away.

Pearl Abyss is formed by ex Cloud 9 Studio members who released "C9 - Continent of the ninth seal" (published by Webzen).
So no, it's not their first MMO.

Well that's a pretty good statement, for once i agree with you.
I for one welcome the changes, because grinding for 6 hrs+ straight won't do anymore, i'm better playing other games than doing that again. Stuck for months because the content is dumbing me down.

Yeah i guess that's on the menu eventually. Curious about which schemes and tricks they'll use to justify it this time.
PvP gear maybe ? That one was golden.
