Magic crystals can aid you in your adventures by increasing your stats. They can be transfused from the Inventory window (hotkey: I).

This guide will cover how to transfuse, extract, and remove (destroy) crystals, and other necessary details.

Registering Crystals into Crystal Inventory

First, open your character’s inventory and press the Transfusion icon in the lower part of the window.

Then, press the Crystal Inventory button

located at the bottom right of the Transfusion window.

This will open the Crystal Inventory UI, where you will be able to move crystals from your regular Inventory to the Crystal Inventory.

A maximum of (initially) 50 crystals can be stored in the Crystal Inventory, and you must use the Crystal Extraction Tool to extract or remove (destroy) crystals from the Crystal Inventory.

Registering Crystals into Crystal Presets

Once you’ve registered the crystals in the Crystal Inventory, open the Transfusion UI again. Click on an empty slot with a [+] button to transfuse a registered crystal.

Once you’ve transfused all the desired crystals, press the “Apply” button at the bottom of the UI. You can check the crystals in effect in the Applied Crystal Effects column to the right.

Tip!
You can register different crystal settings to the buttons labeled 1-6 at the left of the UI. Create various crystal settings in advance so that you can quickly switch between them when the situation calls for it.

Extracting/Removing (Destroying) Registered Crystals

◈ Extracting Crystals

You must have either a Crystal Extraction Tool or Black Spirit Essence in your inventory in order to extract crystals. Interact with a blacksmith and click on the Extraction <4> menu.

Next, click the Extract Crystal button and open the Owned Crystals (Crystal Inventory) UI.
Select either the Crystal Extraction Tool or Black Spirit Essence and RMB the crystal you want to extract.

How to obtain Crystal Extraction Tool
• Processing (L) - Simple Alchemy on the following ingredients: Magical Shard x10 and Pure Iron Crystal x100.

How to obtain Black Spirit Essence
• Purchase from the Pearl Shop.

◈ Removing (Destroying) Crystals

If you would rather remove (destroy) the crystal, open the Transfusion window from your character inventory.

Click the Owned Crystal button

at the bottom right of the Transfusion window, then the Remove Crystal button at the top right, the one that looks like a trash bin. On the new window mode, select the crystal you want removed from the inventory and press Remove (keeping in mind that crystals will be destroyed upon removal.)

Maximum Quantity of Registerable Crystals by Group

There is a limit (by group) on how many crystals can be registered into one preset.

Expanding Your Maximum Crystal Slots

While completing the Land of the Morning Light main questline, you can obtain "Kkebiwater" by completing the following main quests. Using this item unlocks the crystal slots located in the bottom part of the window.

Expanding Your Maximum Crystal Presets and Inventory

While initially you can have up to 5 crystal presets and register 50 crystals into the crystal inventory, you can expand these via several means.

There are rumors that the sorcerers of Tarif are secretly sharing ways amongst themselves to amplify the power of black spirits. If you’ve reached Lv. 58 and have completed the quest [Naderr's Band] Black Spirit's New Powers, you can start a series of quests to expand your crystal presets by 1 and your crystal inventory by 5, obtained from the Black Spirit.

You can also find this quest series, [ADV Support] [Lv. 58] More Crystal Presets for Transfusion, through the Suggested tab in the Quest window (hotkey: O).

Aside from these quests, you can also obtain [Event] Crystal Preset +1 Expansion Coupon and [Event] Crystal Inventory +5 Expansion Coupon with loyalties in the Pearl Shop (once per item).

The remaining possible crystal presets, up to a total of 10, and crystal inventory slots, up to a total of 140, can be obtained in the Pearl Shop.

More on Crystal Presets

1. You can rename a crystal preset through the

button on the Transfusion UI. For example, in the pictures above the 1st crystal preset has been renamed to “Standard.”

2. You can extract crystals through a blacksmith with a Crystal Extraction tool, or with the Black Spirit’s Essence.
- If you RMB to remove a crystal through the Crystal Inventory UI, it will be destroyed.

3. You can initially register up to 50 crystals and set up to 5 presets.

4. Slots on the left/right of the Transfusion UI are unlocked based on the reformation of your awakening weapon.
 - Slots can be unlocked with Heart of Karanda or Garmoth’s Heart.
 * If you use the preset while equipped with unreformed gear, the crystal in that slot will be deactivated.

5. The slot in the middle of the Transfusion UI will be unlocked if you equip gear with a socket created with the Black Spirit’s Claw.
 - You can only transfuse an Ancient Spirit’s Crystal into that slot.

6. Slots on the bottom part of the window are unlocked by using Kkebiwater, obtained from the main questline of Land of the Morning Light.

7. If a crystal shatters upon death while equipped in your current preset, it will shatter in your inventory as well.
 - You will be unable to use shattered crystals in your presets.
(However, the Ancient Spirit’s Crystal in the middle of the UI will not shatter.)

8. The same rules of karma from before the update apply to the number of crystals that shatter upon death (whether it be by monster or another player).
- The same rules of karma apply to the drop in enhancement levels upon death.

Restoring Broken Crystals

If you die against monsters there is a small chance that some of your crystals will be destroyed. You can restore the crystals that were destroyed upon dying 3 times per year.

• Broken crystals can be restored through the Restore Crystals button on the death screen.

• Broken crystals can be checked and restored upon resurrection via the trash can button on the bottom right of the Inventory (I).

• Crystals can be restored via the Crystal tab in Menu -> Adventurer Support -> Item Recover.

- The list of broken crystals can be checked on a Family basis, and crystals can be restored within 72 hours from the point of character death up to 3 times a year per Family.
* This limit resets upon your first login on Jan 1 of the new year.
- If you've lost multiple crystals at once, restoring all of them will only count as 1.
- Restored crystals will be delivered to your Crystal Inventory.
- Crystals broken with negative Family Karma (Karma Stats, Naval Fame) cannot be restored.
- The list of broken crystals before this feature update will not not displayed.
