Exit Game

Last Edited on : Apr 25, 2025, 09:54 (UTC)

The End Game Window

This is the menu window that you use when you are shutting down the client or changing to another character. You can access it from the main menu (hotkey: Esc).

◈ Simplified/Detailed Interface

You can change how the characters are displayed in this interface in a simplified or detailed way.

When clicking this button all characters in your account will be displayed in a single interface

◈ Character Selection

This button lets you go back to the character selection window. It is used when you are moving from one character to another while on the same server, or when you are going to create a new character.
It is also useful in cases where you need to do a quick relog of your character to update the visibility of different possible feature & event rewards, and Pearl Shop offers.

◈ Change Server

It opens the server list, and allows you to change the server you are playing on. After you have changed the server you are playing on, you need to wait 10 minutes to change to another server.

However, if you are a member of a guild, that guild can then select 3 guild base servers. Within these 3 servers, you can change servers without cooldown.

◈ Minimize to Tray

Useful for when you want to stop actively playing the game but want it still open and quickly accessible, be it because you want ongoing processes like workers, crafting and farms to keep progressing, or simply because you are busy with something else.

It sends the game to your PC's system tray, where certain programs continue to run in the background, such as the system clock.

When sent to the system tray, Black Desert will minimize its use of resources to the bare minimum necessary to keep the game active. Once sent to the tray, you can find Black Desert's icon in that part of your PC's taskbar (location differs between OS; found in the bottom right part in Windows) and upon clicking it the game will fully open again.

You can assign a hotkey to the function by pressing Alt + LMB on the button.

◈ Disconnect

It exits the game client.

View Character's Inventory

This box button, to the left of the Change button, allows you to see the inventory of all your characters.

If you have storage maids/butlers, you can use them in this window to move items from the inventory and pearl inventory of all your other characters to the inventory of the character you are currently playing.

◈ Change

You can change your character without going through the character selection window.

Here you can check the status and the location of the character that you want to change to. When the character is carrying out a certain action, like resting on a bed, reading a book, self-repairing, or being transported, the character will continue carrying out this action until the next login.

You can move to any character that is above level 5.

◈ Transport

This option transports the character you are currently playing on to an already known town. You have to change to another character when you are transporting a character, and if you connect to a character that is being transported while the action is ongoing, it will be canceled.

◈ Energy

The energy points that the character currently has are shown at the bottom left corner of the character's portrait. This is useful when you need to spend a considerable amount of energy and require multiple characters.

◈ Enhancement Chance

The enhancement chance is written at the bottom right corner of the character's portrait. You can refer to this and increase your chances of enhancement.

◈ Mount

At the top right of a character's portrait, you can see a horse icon if they have a mount out. Hovering the cursor over it will give you additional information, including the mount's name, type, level, and tier.

◈ Season

If a season is ongoing, and you have a season character, at the top left of your season character's portrait the season icon will be displayed.

◈ Recently Completed Quest

This section shows the quests the character has most recently completed.

◈ Today's Journal

This is a list of major events that the character last experienced.

Change Character Order

If you want to change the order of characters displayed on the character selection screen and exit game window, use the Change Character Order function on the bottom right part of the character selection screen.

When you press the Change Character Order button, a ▲▼ button appears to the right of all your characters. You can change the character position up and down using this button.

Alternatively, you can also change the order of characters from the End Game UI by clicking the following icon:

Select a character you want to move and then select the target position character, which will move the selected character to that position and push others back by one spot.
This method moves the character to the front of the target position, so if characters are arranged in the order A, B, C, D, moving A to B's position results in no change, and you can change the order using the swap method.

Change Characters' Portrait

You can decorate the characters' portraits that pop up when you access the exit game window.
The pictures used there are saved in the My Documents – Black Desert – FaceTexture folder.
You can press the F4 key to open the customization screen and change the portrait of your character there.

Once you have finished customizing the character's appearance, press the Take Portrait button located on top left corner and change the portrait of a character.

You can see that the character's portrait has changed in the exit game window.

Custom Portrait Images for Your Character

• Step 1
Move the custom image to your My Documents → Black Desert → FaceTexture folder

• Step 2
Change the names of the custom image files to the names of the classes' currently set portrait files.

Example: Your Warrior's portrait image has the file name 1000000000000146, then you will need to change the custom image file to 1000000000146.

You can download our custom image portraits on the following link!

Privacy Mode

This option, found next to the Change Character Order button, can be used to hide your login status from other Adventurers.

Keep in mind that you can be restricted from using the guild / friend invite and other functions while in privacy mode.

You will appear offline to friends, guild members, and others in most functions while the mode is active.

Still, system messages will display your name if you kill or get killed in PvP, even with the mode activated.

System messages for cases such as enhancement will display your name as "Unknown Adventurer".
